Trying to figure out why this one is so different. Is this a different phenotype or is this stunted from too many nutrients. All plants the same day and get rotated in the tent daily. All same inputs except the back two I am using Down To Earth and the front smaller one is Gaia Green. In fox farm happy frog. Based on my research Gaia green becomes available for uptake much faster than down to earth. What do you think.
Goodmorning.
I sure hope your growing day is great.
May i ask, have these plants been flushed since seed? Any details on this?
thanks
No flushing. I don’t like to do that. Especially with organic. I use SLF-100. Takes care of the need to flush.
Your plant could be shorter for many reasons but there are other indicators that suggest a different phenotypical expression. Plant in front seems to produce leaves a little shorter and more broad and appears to have slightly different calyx structure.
With the info you provided I would guess this is either different phenotype or maybe these are autos and the plant in front was stunted somehow early in grow that didn’t allow it to develop like the others.
For me, the most important question is what strain is it? Is it a full Indica, full Sativa, or a hybrid? I’ve had 50/50 hybrid seeds that some expressed more Sativa and others expressed themselves as more Indica. Is it an F1 seed or a fairly new cross? Not sure if that’s it but it is my first gut feeling.
Thanks bro, have a wonderful day.
They are Afghan Kush Autos from fastbuds.
This is a really good answer thank you. Yea they are autos.
OK, so when I went and looked it up, it’s 15% Sativa and 85% Indica. Honestly the short bushy one in the front is definitely expressing more as an Indica and the back two look more like Sativas. Just what happens sometimes, especially autoflowers. I wouldn’t worry, just keep on taking care of them, they look healthy.
The one in front looks healthier then the others , so probably not stunted. Wider , greener leaves and thicker bud . Phenotype difference. Imho . I like to grow bunches of plants and as a rule if I run 20 plants of a strain I wil see 3 different phenos. Not always but as a rule. This is how you discover the secret gems . When you are cloning, you will want some of each. Keep them clearly marked and roll with the best. You never know which plant is going to be head and shoulders above the others and once you find her you will want more of her. Keep in mind, you aren’t sure what you have till its dried. When its dry enough to burn you are getting closer to the truth. When its cured you know.
Hope thats making sense to you.
Happy Growing
