With a few grows under my belt I was feeling pretty good. Nearing the end now after a couple of months, I’m getting excited. Until tonight. I’ve got what looks like male parts up and down the stem of a plant and another plant with a few. Please check out the pics and let me know if I’m right. If I am, and they’re hermaphrodites, can anything be done at all to prevent the pollen going everywhere?

Is Zkittlez prone to this? Did I do something wrong?
@Pmr looks likes balls to me no pistils at all a girl will grow hairs men will grow balls

@Pmr if it pollinated already you might be screwed I would chop it how many plants you have in the same room

The top 2 pictures definitely show female flowers, so yeah it’s a herm. It can be caused by stress or genetics. Some strains are more prone than others.

It’s got an open flower so some pollen has been released, no telling how bad it has spread. If so damage done, and how you treat it from here out. If there is just one male cluster you can remove it carefully and inspect the plant often to catch any others till you harvest. At least the ones I have had all the flowers were down in lower branches. Some other type you get bannahs in your buds, I’ve never had that type. But like @AloysiusDevadanderAbercrombie said could be caused by stresser like a light leak, or it could be genetics. I would look for light leaks etc, keep from having other plants from hermi. And the other option is to separate if you can or something, I had flowers open and didn’t get seeds, and then I had a few seeds just in lower buds, then I had a whole plant get blasted so it will be one of those. It’s only 3 plants so I’m not crushed. There were only two male flowers open that I saw so possibly not terrible… and they were lower on plant. But I’ve got some good air movement so it’s also possible that the pollen has spread throughout. The tops of the plants are looking quite good and nearing the end, so that sucks. My light schedule is pretty close to daylight hours so it’s not likely that did it. Is Zkittlez prone to this? Temps are pretty good, 10-12 degree differential from day to night, not going higher than 86 degrees during the day. Humidity might be a tad under optimal but not too much.

Those few buds pictured are under the canopy, the tops look pretty good. I’ll take pics tomorrow.
Even a small led on a power strip can cause problems, but you may never know lol. I’ve had two I caught and it was minimal damage. One I bumped timer and it was turning the light on for 15 minutes in the middle of night time. Ugh male flowers everywhere and seed weed for sure.

At this point I’ll probably ride it out and see what I get, why not. But I’ll definitely inspect the tent to see what could have happened.
I’ve read that spraying the male flowers can help reduce pollen spread so I’ll try that. Maybe shut down the lower fan to reduce more pollen spread.

It only takes a day or two for new ones to pop out but if it’s like mine only lower 1/3 of the plant on branch intersections, so pretty easy to keep an eye on, just pick them off, yeah may help to have misting once, will get some of it. You’ll be okay, just might have a few seeds lol. I’ve got two kick ass ounces of super skunk, seeds all through but some of my favorite smoke…

It looks like she Hermied…That sucks. I had a hard time getting seeds to germinate at first. I think I lost 5 seeds, straight in a row. I was completely pissed but after sleeping on it, calmed down👍🏻
I have spent thousands of dollars on ILGM seed stock over the last three years. Only used the replacement offer once and that was a couple of years back.
It’s been smooth sailing ever since then…

my friend is not happy at all with 2 of his ILGM Zkittles plants Hermied Yesterday it was discovered at harvest! It just seeded all his plants. 1 zkittles plant at a different growers house did not hermie from the same lot of seeds. Should I expect the rest of the seeds to possibly be herms ?
