Why hasn't my purple bud turned purple any tips or thoughts

So I’ve just noticed what I can only describe as tiny black flies 2of them running across my soil on my ww that I have in veg it seems a little to cold and wrong time of year for bugs here in the uk should I be worried, sorry no picture of the things yet il try and get one asap

They’re probably soil gnats, (they look pretty much like fruit flies), you might want to search that topic on this site as there’s quite a few ways to deal with them

They are oily natts… Your media is staying moist for too long… Get some yellow sticky traps and through them on top of the pots to see just how bad the infestation is… maybe get a little food grade diatomaceous earth to throw on top of the soil as well …

this was what I seen I’m going to order the diatomaceous earth on Amazon for around £8 in mean time reduced watering for the girl’s, I think ive got them because I had hot soil and tried a flush and ive kept slightly over watering since, every days a school day with this I’m learning something new almost all the time lol

Soil gnats attack the plants roots

I use a combination of yellow sticky traps and a lot of air movement on the floor and I haven’t had one in six months

I have a question for you guys my ww are around 7weeks old now at what stage is to late to transplant into a bigger pot obvz I wouldn’t do it after switch over to 12/12 am I okay to move to bigger pots or am I stuck with the one’s I’ve got them in

You should be fine to transplant if you haven’t switched to 12/12 yet, can transplant any time in veg, just gets harder if you’ve got some big girls to work with

Cheers @BondPacker I’ve had them in 12litre pots but I’ve just got my hands on some 20litre and 40litre pots I was going to put less into flower but in the bigger pots for more yield breaking my grow into two half’s with a little longer veg time to fill out the new pots so I’m good to do this, they will start to fill out in pots that size won’t they

20L should be fine for an indoor grow thats what a lot of guys on here use, They’ll fill that out easy

Okay cheers I thought my purp girls looked a little on the short side compared to some peoples I see on here, I’m pretty sure its the pots holding me back from that little extra size I’ve ruled out everything else il go with the 20s then for the widows. Thanks again :slightly_smiling_face:
