Well, this sucks! I’ve liked Cap_Ron’s threads because I’m hoping to start indoor growing next year and these threads were a detailed step-by-step tutorial and a quality educational resource for me. Sadly, that’s now history and now it’s just TS for those of us who were benefitting from Cap’s threads.
I think it’s really unfortunate that somebody in TPTB structure here thinks it’s a good idea to drive away one of this forum’s best contributors.

You guys should probably get your facts correct before bashing mods or anyone else.
What Capt Ron failed to tell you was he was in a disagreement with another memeber and they were asked to keep it civil and adult like and not hurling insults at each other. This apparently was too much to ask of Capt Ron
I read everything from the situation that day. Capt Ron was not singled out.

And why would you need to see “said facts”?
Unless you think you could do a better job at moderation than the existing mods?
Showing “said facts” now, would only rehash some drama that we don’t need in this forum.
I don’t know if you ever experienced moderating for such a large forum, but trust me it’s not easy. You will always have someone who thinks that their opinions is better than any rules. And trying to calm things in a heated argument between members is never easy. You’ll always have one part that will disagree.
Over all the years I’ve been here, I saw a few mods lose their title. They have strict rules to follow and are being held accountable for them by even higher mods that we, here in the forum, barely ever “meet”.
The current bunch of moderators we have now is doing an exceptional job, considering there are hundreds of members to “supervise” and “please”.

Ohhh someone is salty… nerver presumed to say i could “do a better job” and definitely wouldnt dare to say it is a “easy” thing to do.
I agree that there will always be “that one person” who thinks they are right over everything. No matter what.
I agree its not always easy to calm or settle things down in a “heated” argument.
People disagree. Pretty much part of human nature.
However. If we are to just take a mods “word” after they insist WE get the “facts first” by that logic why arent WE able to take @Cap_Ron word of what he said to be true?
At the end of the day. If things were handle properly as they should be, i see ZERO wrong in asking for the “said facts” ESPECIALLY after it was said to have the facts FIRST.
Edit: Now im extremely curious as to what happened. Just for example. Cops wear a body camera so their actions can be held accountable but ALSO to hold the "victims " accountable. Dont say get the facts first and expect people to just “go with it”

Here’s an unpopular idea…
Members can muse about what happened all day long… It’s None of their business unless @Cap_Ron wants to tell us.
Moderators should keep their mouths shut on the matter out of professionalism. The things that have been said so far do nothing but add to the drama.
Now my opinion…
People need to stop being little b*tches and move on. We’re growing weed here, not saving the universe. Grow up.

Doing their job!! Take a venture and explore some other grow site forums and you’ll see the member bashing, new growers being humiliated etc… I find it interesting and sad that a few of you are chiming in and clueless as to what went down. The Mod that stepped in did so professionally and didn’t single either member out

I didn’t ask what’s going on… i don’t care. He announced his departure and i said bye.
The moderators are expected to maintain a certain level of professionalism, that’s how the respect for their positions are maintained. They should remain above us, the riff raff.
