Looking mighty fine Mr Ron
Thats going to be one packed tent! I have 6 in 1 gallons in a 5×5 and its almost wall to wall. I like using up some of the seeds i bought, but the watering is crazy! I could probably hand water at least 2-3 times a day but i stick with 1. I just make sure i get a good runoff so no salts get built up. I cant wait to see the amazon youll have here in a few weeks
That rspec will keep your plants under it pretty squat. Shoot You could spread em out and flip now girls are looking happy and healthy!
This begs a question I’ve been wondering about. When you detect a mag deficiency, why use epsom salt (mag sulfate), do you also need the sulfate with it? Why not use mag chloride instead? It is the chemistry or the cost?
@Alien_Shore I’m not 100% sure, but I imagine that there might be some chlorine naturally present in magnesium chloride. If so, it could be harmful to the microbial life in the root zone. I guess in small enough doses either would probably be a fine option.
Looks like you’re growing your own batman signals.
@Cap_Ron, So is that considered cropping or just plain topping?
That would be topping
@Cap_Ron, more details please. How big were the plants and at What node did you cut above? Thanks
@Fishyswaw, I’ll post a much better explanation of it all later today when I get back home, but for now here’s a few pics.
I have a lot more pics, I just have to sort through them when I get home.
Damn cap! Those things are growing fast! good work brother man!
@Cap_Ron
Happy Friday Mr Ron. What’s your opinion on this. Have you ever used one?
Looks like it would take care of your runoff numbers and slushy test just by probing
I’ve never seen anything like that, but it definitely looks like helpful information. Did you read any reviews to see what people are saying about it?
I’m going to order one it’s under a $100 there’s only 44 reviews with 4.5 Stars so it looks relatively new. I just love the concept. I think it’s an impulse buy for me!
When it comes to reviews I take them with a grain of salt there’s a lot of stupid people out there. I bought things with one star and they work perfect. I think before I pull the plug I’ll do a little bit more research elsewhere. Again I like the concept
I would be interested in seeing how they are able to derive specific ion concentrations with a single probe. That seems very unlikely especially at <$100.
I spent about an hour looking at them there’s some on there for $150 that really look nice and have like 800 feedbacks all five star. I agree with you this one for a hundred bucks doesn’t seem like it would work well.
These 12 girls in the one gallon pots are doing great, but I still don’t know if I’ll be able to keep all of them. It’s mighty crowded in their tent right now.
Here’s all 12, pic from straight on and from overhead on each.
And this is how crammed in they are in the tent.
The 6 girls in the 7 gallon pots are doing well also.
And a group shot back in the closet. In another few days I’ll fire up the 2 x 4 tent and move 2 of them in there. They’re starting to lay on each other.
And quite possibly the biggest fan leaves I’ve ever had on a plant.
All 18 plants have been topped. Normally I pick and choose who I top and who I don’t, but this time I said screw it did them all.
They’re looking great Cap!! Looks like roots trying to come through the bags on a couple of them. Do you prune the 1 gallon girls down to like 4 or so branches or treat all as a single canopy and shape that way or…?. It don’t look like being in a gal bag is slowing them down much.
Some of them leafs are as big as freaking palm frond’s!!
Ya know with that many in 1 gal of coir your gonna be the hardest working man in grow business…
They all look great, @Cap_Ron - your pics are fantastic too. Everything looks so clean and well-maintained. All the plants showing fast growth and they look super healthy. How will you choose if you need to cull the herd? Are there some criteria that you’ve been thinking about? I bet it is hard to put into words all the experience that goes into that thought process…
