White widow autoflower week8 yellow leaves with burnt tips

First grow ever. I have 2 white widow autos that sprouted November 4th 2020 they have been doing great. Now I’m starting to worry about redish stems on one plant and yellowing with burnt tips on another. Any advice? I know nothing about nutrients and have only learned a little of the lingo used on the forums.

Will try to add pictures.

  • What strain, Seed bank, or bag seed - white widow autoflower from ilgm

  • Method: Soil w/salt, Organic soil, Hydroponics, Aquaponics, KNF - soil kits from a pot for pot

  • Vessels: Pots, Grow beds, Buckets, Troths - cloth pots from a pot for pot 5 gallon

  • PH of Water, Solution, runoff (if Applicable) - 6.2 water in. Need advice on how to measure run off.

  • PPM/TDS or EC of nutrient solution if applicable - n/a

  • Indoor or Outdoor- indoor tent 2x4x6

  • Light system x2 vivosun vs 1000

  • Temps; Day, Night - 70-80 degrees

  • Humidity; Day, Night 50-60

  • Ventilation system; Yes, No, Size - yes I desk oscillating fan hanging from top of tent and exhaust fan.

  • AC, Humidifier, De-humidifier, - cheap dehumidifier

  • Co2; Yes, No - no

I water about every 2 days little under a gallon each plant. I do need to recalibrate my ph meter.

Forsure nutrition burn. Less is more. The red stem is a indicator

Actually it’s quite the opposite. Your plant is starving for food and eating itself. I know the kit said you wouldn’t need nutrients but that plant needs it. If you can, I would grab some asap and start feeding that girl.

Looks like the roots aren’t taking up the nutes from the soil, watering every other day, does the soil ever get dry? I grow in soil with 5 gal. pots and don’t need to water for 4-5days when they are drinking a lot. Roots might be drowning.

In soil we want to shoot for a ph from 6.3 to 6.8. 6.5 is the sweet spot.

To measure runoff you need to collect the water that drains from the bottom of the pot and measure the ppms and ph of the water with meters. You can get a ph meter and a TDS meter both from Amazon for around 20 bucks.

Thats what I was thinking. What nutrients do you recommend? Something simple if possible. Something I can pick up or order on Amazon

Ya i usually water 2-3 days. I let it go 4-5 days and the plants got real droopy and sad looking.

I haven’t added any nutrients at all. Besides what was mixed in when mixing the soil at the beginning

For simple and cost effective I would use Jack’s Nutrients. Alot of growers here are catching onto the trend because it’s so simple and cost effective. With Jack’s you would use the 321 formula and you feed them the same thing every time.

The 2 bags you would need from Jacks are
Part A 5-12-26
Part B 15-0-0

Then for the 3rd part you would need plain epsom salt. Any brand works.

Go to the Jack’s website and order it. Or you can get on ebay and grab one of the premade kits for around 30 bucks.

This is by far the easiest nutrient in the cannabis market and you get killer results

Nice! I looked at jacks but got so confused on what to get. Thank you. Will order later today. The instructions pretty easy to follow?

Yes the instructions are the easiest to follow.

Per gallon of water it is
3.6 grams of part a
2.4 grams of part b
1.2 grams of epsom salt

Mix in the part a and the epsom salt in first and mix until its FULLY DISSOLVED. Very important step to make sure its dissolved completely before adding in the part b.
Then mix in the part b and mix until dissolved

Then ph the mixture to 6.5 for soil or 6.0 for hydro/coco

And that its. Do this every time you water the plants

@Jput I would like to add that if the solution is cloudy after mixing it wasn’t done correctly. I am using a very similar 3part fert called Masterblend and I dissolve all parts separately and then mix. Then I add Hydroguard last and then check PH.

The soil kit from a pot for pot is coco correct?

No its soil. @MattyBear has done a grow with the potforpot kit. He can chime in as well

It’s actually both. They have mostly soil and they add in a coco brick for the top layer

Ok thats what I was thinking. Thanks

Ordered some jacks 321 and will get back after it arrives. I’m sure I’ll have some more questions later. Thanks for the help!

I finally measured the run off. 1540 ppm at 67.2 degrees and run off ph 6.2.
