White Widow Auto... one by one succumbs to something I don't know, can anyone help

A customer has a question and I hope we can get some opinions on it, thanks

“I ordered some White Widow Autoflower and planted 5 seeds in late March along with several other varieties. They now doing fine. However, I planted 4 more seeds a couple of weeks ago and all but one died after sprouting. Whatever is was, the symptoms were the same for all 3. The 3rd from the left is the best example. The far right one succumbed a day or two after I took this photo. In every case, the stem just short of the first leaves died. The second pot was the first to go and you can see that it is totally withered. The first one seems to have avoided the problem and looks healthy after about 5 more days. Does anyone have any idea what could have caused this? I’ve been growing for about 5 years and never seen it before. Thanks.”

Hi,just been slowly cruising through forum topics and came across your photo. I just had some WW’s of my own break through around same age and they look nothing like yours. I’m just a newbie but from what i’ve been reading, your plants look like their def stretching to get some decent light,at the same time they look heat stressed, maybe to close to glass. Think also overwater, that’s what normally makes stem weak and thin. Sorry to dump on you like this, dont take to heart as i’m sure someone more exp will let you know exactly what’s going on. Good luck
