White Tips, 1st auto flower grow

1st Autoflower grow, Put her in water 12/25 she popped out 12/29, Started out in VIVOSUN 2x4 with 2 VS1000 then had a 3rd VS1000 Decided to get a 2x4 AC infinity, most of her life she was in a 2x4 Vivosun with 2 VS 1000. when I noticed her starting to go into pre flower I gave her a little bit of diluted veg nutrients A/B from VIVOSUN and a little bit of Bloom from Lotus. Plus a mixture I put together of egg shells, vinegar, epson salt, molasses & water. I immediately noticed all the tips turned white. I figured it was nutrient burn so I been giving water only for the past week . I also raised the light up because it may be light burn. I have no idea though what do you think?.

Also yesterday I got another (3rd) 2x4 AC Infinity tent along with a EVO 3 with 280 W just for her that will be my flowering tent. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Oh and this is Royal Gorilla in a mix of Fox Farm, Happy Frog & Ocean forest with added perlite

So was this all put together as one or was the egg shells and vinegar mixed to make some calcium solution and then another mix of the epsom water and molasses?

I don’t think it has anything to do with light burn she is just letting you know she has enough nutrients for now.

I’m not familiar with those other nutrients you mentioned.
Are they dry type that you scratch into the topsoil?
It is getting to the point you’ll want to start feeding her on a regular basis and that depends on what those other nutrients you listed state on their instructions.

Thanks,

I have the egg shells & vinegar in a container but I put some in a Home Depot bucket with a gallon of water, sprinkled a tablespoon of epson salt in the same bucket with an additional gallon of water along with a teaspoon of molasses.

Lotus Bloom is a dry mix that’s in another bucket with a gallon of water

Vivo sun A/B were the veg nutrients that are liquid also in a bucket with water but since I’m officially flowering I’m not using that on this plant. I did a lil in the beginning because I felt it was transitioning from veg to flower

Looking good Growmie, I would recommend a balanced nutrient line without adding all the extras. Post a pic of the base and bloom nutrients and let’s go from there with a feeding routine. Do you have a PH and TDS pen :love_you_gesture:

Thanks,

Yes I bought a PH meter last week after noticing the white tips. It’s a cheap one & I’ve heard they’re no good, but it seems to work as long I calibrate it every other day lol. Today was the 1st day I used the PH Down I just bought I have a Watermelon auto that was planted 1/3/2024 and looks quite small compared to the Hulk berry auto I planted on 1/12. That’s 3 plants in the 2x4 the Royal gorilla is in a 5 gallon grow bag & the other 2 are in a 3 gallon grow bags.

I’m not sure what a TDS pen is I’ll look it up but I did buy a Soil/PH tester prong meter from Home Depot; it seems to be a piece of junk. It always stays on 7.

I would recommend straight water PHd to 6.5 and throughly drench the plants to at least 20-30% run off (run off is the nutrient mix or water that comes out the bottom of the pot). Catch a sample after after a good bit has come out and test the PH and PPMs (parts per million) the PPMs will tell you the concentration of nutrients in the medium. Anything less than 800 is a feed day on the next round. Soil likes a drench to drought routine periodically testing the run off PH and PPMs. Anything over 1200 PPMs from the run off would be a water feed next round after the drought period. Apera 20 is a great PH pen and Blue Lab makes a great TDS pen. It seems like the Lotus nutrients have the needed NPK, can you post a pic of the back of the lotus bottle. You’ll need secondary/micro nutrients along with the big 3…NPK :love_you_gesture:

Thanks I see now the TDS pen will tell me the PPM, I have never watered to run off. I’ve heard people speak about flushing but at the same time I’ve heard people say not to overwater autoflowers so I appreciate you explaining the process and the ranges for.

If you follow a drench to drought routine with liberal run off rarely will a flush be needed. The run off rinses the salts away from the synthetic fertilizer helping keep a healthy root zone. The lotus nutrients is all that’s needed but would add some beneficial microbes…TPS Billions or Growers recharge work great for this. Over watering is frequency related not the amount given at one time…drench to drought and they’ll flourish. The drought period will provide the needed oxygen to the roots. Over all your plants are looking great Grow Bro :muscle::muscle::love_you_gesture:
