Can anyone please help me identify what these white spots are on my leaves ? . Two out of three of the same genetics from same pack have them but only on the first set of leaves, new growth seems ok so far.
Normal leaf variegation. It is nothing to worry about.
that’s great !! Thank You
I think they’re looking quiet nicely Growmie much agreeing with @MidwestGuy
Looks great
Keep doing what you’re doing…
Happy Growing…
Here is a few pics from this morning. I watered yesterday with Recharge 1/2tsp per Gal of dechlorinated water Ph 6.3 and noticed that one out of 4 of my plants leaves were not looking great (see attached). This plant is a different genetic than the other three. All of them are in a 50/50 mix of Canna Coco / FF Happy frog amended with Gaia Green 444, OEWC , and some extra perlite. I am new to all this and still learning how to diagnose problems. I was thinking it looks like calcium deficiency but wanna get an opinion from someone that knows a lot more then me lol. if it is calcium deficiency, why is only one out of the four showing it ?
yeah interesting mix of soil and coco if i read that right.
If you do just coco i would drop your ph to 5.8 and use cal/mag nutrient every feed. coco like to steal those from your plant so you kind of make sure the coco has already got enough that it want to steal and then wants its covalent bonds or whatever is satisfied it won’t take it anymore or until next water.
Ok thank you, and thanks for the chart. Because i just watered yesterday is it ok to just give some cal mag the next watering ? probably be 3 or 4 more days. ? I have some Humbolts Secret Calmag & Iron. Yeah you probably read my soil mix right it is kinda odd I guess. It was given to me by a friend a friend in Cali that has awesome results with it. His recipe called for promix HP but nobody around me sells it so my friend told me use Happy Frog in its place and it back a little on the Gaia green
It doesn’t take it from the plant, like if the plant already absorbed the nutrients coco isnt gonna leach it from plant. I meant like it would absorb before plant could uptake and cause deficiencies.
sorry if i made that enough more confusing lol
You could mix up a batch and just do a small top feed. I see your plant and think it wants food as in more nutrients. are you mixing solution in water and then feeding? i feel when i used it years years ago happy frog was a lite nutrient mix and had a lot of coco and perlite? I cant rember. did you mix like nutrient salts or organic nutrients (i cant think of word but like worm casting or anything that breaks down in soil by bacteria and then plants can absorb)?
" OR "
Its you pH
Also don’t think im some wizard grower or anything. def get some more info. Im wondering if your mix is wanting a more acidic mix water/feed cause its wanting to act like hydro because your high amount of coco and perlite to actual soil content
Yes I mixed in organic worm, castings, and Gaia Green 444 all purpose dry amendments. It’s been three weeks and I am supposed to top dress with the same worm, castings and guy green 444 at 4 weeks. There are 3 other autos in the same mix and they all look really good it’s just that one that I seem to be having problems with
yeah, that makes total sense maybe that particular strain wants the ph lower then the others. I’ve been keeping the ph of all four at between 6.0-6.5
