So I have some unknown seeds really, maybe Gelato I was told. Then I have Blue Dream Auto, Critical+2.0 Auto, Northern Lights and an Apple Betty Photo Fem(AB from Herbies). So I’m trying to figure out which to grow next. My first plant is coming to a harvest real soon so I want to have at least some type idea of which two(2) I should go with. It will be an indoor operation, just a 36x20x63 Mylar grow tent/box/closet thing and … Well, I just remembered I’ll have to get a new light. I have a " Gixer1000W/Led Full Spectrum" deal and it’s been fine for since I got it(which has been like 3-4 months is stretching it) it was fine yesterday when the lights went out(I assume it’s the “Veg” spectrum of things and I use the “Bloom” spectrum for current plant phase). I woke up this morning tried the "veg " side and the light just blinks on/off every Two(2), maybe Three(3) seconds and that’s it. The “Bloom” works still though, thankfully. So, Im taking suggestions on lights (I’m on like a budget, like no income budget but I got about 80-115 for a light I guess). I have Nutes (The FoxFarm Trio), I will be growing in FF:OF. Got fans and some dehumidifiers (calcium chloride) if needed. Will be in a lived in(by me) basement of a house. Ummm, I think I covered it all. So what do you all got for me?
@AveSatanas666 the 2 I’d like to grow would be the Northern Lights and the Blue Dream, although if you had a Gelato for a fact that’d be my first of the 3 lol.
It’s the cheapest one for the area you have. You could go less but you’ll probably not have enough light to fill the whole tent. Throw another 50 at it and you’re in! They do make a few lights, HLG included I believe that are in your range but will only grow a single plant.
I was reading in the underground on here, you know the diy light thread, way back, talking 80 to 90 cri for cobs and yada…so was googling. Found new to me, another light company, using some of said technology.
My best recommendation would be checking Craigslist, eBay, OfferUp etc for used lights or refurbished ones.
I see a few Viparspectra P1000 lights on eBay for about $60 a pop. For your space you’d want at least two, but that’s $120 for 200ish watts of “okay” quality.
