When to transplant outdoors?

Good morning everyone. The plan for my first grow is to get outdoor plants started inside in the tent. Im curious as to when others prefer to move them outdoors? Im just trying to get an idea when I should start them. Should be safe with outdoor temps here by 3rd week of May. Thanks!

You want to wait until daylight hours are greater than 14 before taking them outside. So probably around Mother’s Day, start getting them “hardened off” to go outside. You don’t want to toss them into the direct sun right away as they won’t be used to the UV intensity. You have to do it gradually.

Good luck on your grow! Keep us posted!

A couple local farmers said 2 things 1 said plant outside after 1st thunderstorm after tax day( farmers almanac i believe)
The other, a professional grower said when soil temp 6" deep is 50 degreesf

Seeing as how we’ve had a thunder snow storm plus a hefty thunder (rain) storm in February - I think I’d stick with the pro grower!

Our last projected frost date is May 5-10, so I plan on starting beans the second week of April to have a good 3-4 weeks growth before they go out.
Light will be plenty good at that point and still gaining everyday till the solstice.
temps are my main concern. Last year the temps didn’t really warm up til June!

LOL! They say they’re good either way, but I can get much better quality inside I think.
I’ll be sticking to the more bulk seeds for outdoors and save my more boutique genetics for inside.
I started 2 more Ethos strains today!

I am going to do some Gold Leaf outside 2 or 3 and let, as least one, go wild. I have a protected area that is at least ten foot tall

I start mine indoors mid April and wait until the last week in May to the first week of June to put them outside. Im in Arizona at 5000ft

My area says 14 hours May 4th but if history repeats. There will be one last blizzard so I am aiming for late May.

New moon is 5/30. I am planting then.

@Tylersays that will be my biggest issue here in the northeast. We will have the daylight hours before frost isnt a concern anymore.

Yeah, think I will throw 2 or 3 WW outside too, and 2 or 3 inside in 2x4x6 tent. Kinda like a comparison test. Going to start all in March inside.
