I recently got two clones of Purple Urkle and already have a Northern Lights clone. All of the plants were in three gallon pots before I transplanted them into 10 Gallon fabric pots with Fox Farm Ocean Forest. I have the Fox Farm trio of nutrients and feeding schedule, however I’m curious when I should start adding them, is there enough nutrients in the soil for now or should I start adding nutrients relatively soon? Although the two Purple Urkle plants are much larger & older than the Northern Lights clone they were all transplanted into their current pots at the same time. I appreciate any feedback or advice, thank you!
(not sure why the pictures uploaded sideways)
all those plants seem to be well above the age you could use nutes… But like anything, start with a weaker dosage than they recommend, so your plants can get use to them…
At that stage of veg I would be using an organic dry fertilizer containing lots of guano, sprinkled on the soil every third watering. More importantly is to ph the water.
I guess I should add that I live in Massachusetts and grow outdoors so these plants won’t start flowering for a few more months at least until August
I will wait untill the plant has a well established roots before adding nutrients.
Will
Fox farm ocean forest does have some nutrients in it already. Depending on when you transplanted them I would wait a week or so until they get over the shock of transplanting. They look healthy and green so you could hold off a few weeks before adding any nutrients. Also when starting to give them nutes I recommend only giving them half the recommended dose to see how they react and then go from there. They look big enough where you can give them nutes If you want. But again if they were just transplanted I would hold off for a week or two.
thanks man I appreciate it!
My pics come out sideways and upside down, lol. Your plants look beautiful! If those are small then mine are miniature compared to yours. I just started nutes but I think with fox farm ocean forest soil has nutrients already, I’m new, so I’m on those questions still. Want to know more about clones, those look amazing in my eyes!! ![]()
