Hi can u see the dark gtreen with yellow sots. Whats wrong with her guys. 3 week old strawberry kush
First, get pic in natural light. It makes it easier to see your problem. There is a list of questions that you need to copy from forum. It lists the variables of your grow. Kinda need to know them so a diagnosis can be made.
My question is are you getting the leaves wet when you water?
Welcome to the forum! Only dumb questions are the ones you keep to yourself. Loads of people here to help!
Yeah I did get her wet. Skme of my others look ok apart from like holes and parts missing as tho abug has nibbled but no sign of any
Wow I’m surprised that’s not a copy write infringement lawsuit from General hydroponics looks identical to the trio…

Stawberry kush. By whitethe label,
Coco n pebbles
In a 10 gallon pot
Ph going in about 6 coming out a little higher
Have stopped the nutes for last 5 days
So just water every 2/3 days
Indoor
600 hps
21°c off 27 on
40-60% rh
Grown in basement with 3 12" oscillating and a 5"intake.
Running a carbon filter through another fan. Not.venting out. Struggling with that too
Running dehumidifier
Co2 bag.
Hope that helps. I mved lights from 2 foot to 3 foot away
Need water more often, maybe use a tray underneath and keep it topped off.
Coco should not become dry!
Thanks. I was more worried about over watering as I go by feeling the weight. Does that explain the yellow slots and leaves that look like a catapillar has had a feast.(nosign of any. Some of my autos are ayou bit deformed too. Thanks for your help. Im glad I joined
Water on the leaves act like a magnifying glass. They burn.
Yeah thanks I have read that but itshrd to get into the base with thewatering can. I guess ill have to take morecare or a different head. That should help.
Whats confusing me (sorry 1st timer)is that you wet the leaves with mist etc or is it because of the size of the water droplets? Thanks a bunch im quite sure ill have many more questiins to ask. Its hard getting knowledge from first hand as you give the game away what your doing and im sticking to #1 rule. Tell no one
Don’t even mist leaves when the light is on. Just be careful. A lot of folks around here to help! Keep asking questions. They don’t hurt!
Hi Damo, welcome to the club. I have a few observations and questions.
Have you considered using a Metal Hydride bulb (MH) during veg instead of the HPS bulb? The MH bulb is a slightly better color spectrum for vegging and is cheaper then the HPS bulb. HID (high intensity discharge) bulbs generally need replacing every year if you use them constantly, so you might as well use the MH bulb during veg and change to HPS during flower. Once the plants start growing good the ideal height of your 600w HPS lamp would be around 16 inches.
Did you properly buffer the coco with cal-mag before using, or was it pre buffered? Not sure how much experience you have growing in coco so just trying to hit all the bases. Also, why the pebbles? Most growers recommend 60-70% coco to 40-30% perlite. Never seen pebbles recommended in place of perlite, just wondering where the idea came from.
With coco you need to feed every day. Start with cal-mag in container of water, use the feeding chart that comes from the manufacturer to add the other products in the correct ratio into your container and adjust pH to roughly 5.8-6.2 and check your ppm. It needs to be in the recommended range for the age of your plant. Looking at the bigger seedlings, maybe 600-800 ppm, smaller seedlings less. If you are above that range (you usually are) you need to dilute the concentration with more cal-mag water to reach the target ppm with the proper amount of cal-mag required by the coco. The manufacturer usually has the ideal ppm range on the feed chart.
You need to water so you get a tiny bit of runoff, but don’t let your pot sit in the runoff. The more frequently you feed the better with coco. Setting up an automatic watering system giving your plants a little feeding several times a day is a good thing, it creates a stable environment and allows plant to concentrate on growth rather then spending energy adjusting to constantly changing conditions.
Additional C02 is of no value and will not be until you really get growing dialed in and know what you are doing, especially when it comes to measuring and understanding the PAR value of your lights and having good lights that allow you to utilize the extra C02, otherwise it’s a complete waste of time and money.
To Good growing… enjoy
@PharmerBob what do yoy mean by toppped off. I have trays and usually discard run off as thats what I read to do but I know someone who when theirs are big and cramped used to water via the trays.
@CMichGrower thankyou its great to be here. Yes I have considered a mh bulb. Even more now.
Im very new. I have just done a 12 plant grow that I just provided the room. Now I have some tackle and im going it alone. I didnt want to be in that side of it. I want to do it for the love of it. Im growing mostly autoflowers and have various strains and mediums. Some in coco, some coco n perlite and the pebbles are in some as ive reused them from the pevious grow. Mainly due to being over zealous and germing too many seeds. Ive heard this is ok but im prepared to hear its not a good idea.
Since a lot of reading im payng a lot of attention to your advice with ppm and ph. Im getting it all correct going in. Im not feeding if ppm of run off too high which it was (5000x10!!!) This is why I held off the feed. Yes been giving cal mag every feed. My tap water is 7-7.5 so I have ph down and baking soda for ph up. Thanks again is appreciated and rather nice to wake up to.
Id like to add ive got my ppms downn to reasonable levels now but only.just now. Hopefully all systems go. I may do less autos and get a couple of mh bulbs. Im using 2 600w bit I have a third and 4th if needed.
Also ill put the lights back as 3 ft away as I thought that was the issue
Just to be clear I think these pebbles arent actual pebbles.its canna professional I think if that helps
Keep the trays filled
I use a tray system and it automates the entire watering process so I don’t have to worry about it over the entire grow.
Check out AutoPot
When do you guys take your first leaves off.I make te mistake I think of.taking off too soon. For eg the one in question had two sets of 3 figer leaves that were totally cvering the plant. So I took em off and.now it doesnt look as good. Its just the leaves were that big. Like my habd when the plant was only 4" talll. Thanks again guys
Those fan leaves are like solar panels for processing light into plant energy.
.
Do Defoliation when they get bigger and have more leaves to spare like em get a lil branch growth going before you take any leaves any fans you take off young probably won’t grow a branch from that node you want branches before you defol
