What to grow in Midwest?

I need some advice on what strain to grow outside in the Midwest, more specifically Southeast Michigan. I prefer Sativa and would like something that can be harvest by the end of September.

Last year, I grew 8 Arjan Haze plants. They were great through vegetation, but a solid week of rain and cold weather and they all got bud rot. I also ran into feeding issues during budding. Leaves all turned yellow, so I’ll also take any and all advice on how best to provide nutrients.

I will germinate and grow inside in a grow tent until they are too big for the tent, then replant outside usually in June. Two will go in the ground and maybe four in pots on the deck. Would like to try two different strains this time around.

Thank you for any advice you are willing to share.

I would pick a hybrid with a shorter flower time, and also suggest a greenhouse with some kind of wind block. Im also in Michigan and late September, early October can be devastating to large colas. ILGM have many good strains for outdoors. I grew a few LA Confidentials, a Goldleaf and a few other’s.LA and Goldleaf did really well.
