What kind of burn i want to fix it

That’s for soil Grow Bro, he’s in coco :love_you_gesture:

Tbh ive never heard of it being less for coco man. Not saying you’re wrong just stating why i put that. Up until a day or two i was lead to believe coco counted as soil :upside_down_face:

Just make sure that coco doesnt dry out completely. Can cause issues for the roots.

This is the best way to get good at reading plants in distress. IMO.

If it aint broke as they say. Cannabis uses a fair amount of nitrogen in the transition from veg to flower (the stretch) so having a good amount onboard is good. As soon as you see flowers though, Id flush out. I like to have my soil wiped out of excess salts and nutes right at flower start, then add in the flowering ratio nutes. Thats just me though, many would ignore the flush unless a problem presents. Neither is right or wrong.

I have limited personal use of coco but I understand that dried out coco can be almost impossible to rehydrate as well as locks up calcium and keeps it from your plant. This is very good advice.

The thing is im 2 weeks and 2 days into flowering and my ppm were reading 2300 on bergmans nutes. They doubled over night somehow.

But they seem to be happy and healthy as stated before. I just dont know if they need this much because of the extended veg.

Thats right! Thanks for finding out. Im the type to try and remmeber something instead of looking it up. Lol

I just heard it quoted the other day… Id have never known it.

Thats not terribly high, and will likely come down rapidly as flowering carries on. Just give her ph stable water for a feed or two those numbers should drop. Once they get to about 1000ppm feed again.

Or flush and feed. Either is a viable option.

Timing is everything man. Lol. In life and growing.

Will definitely be keeping an eye on them. Thanks for the input!

He’s not wrong… Coco coir is a natural fiber derived from coconut husks, is a popular medium for cannabis due to its ability to retain water while providing excellent aeration. Proper handling of coco coir is essential to optimize plant health and yield.

Coco has a neutral pH, but it can drift over time due to nutrient applications. The optimal pH range for coco is around 5.8 to 6.2 for cannabis. Regularly monitor and adjust the pH of the nutrient solution.

Watering Frequency… Coco coir retains moisture well, but it also drains easily. Cannabis in coco generally requires more frequent watering than in soil, daily or even multiple times a day, depending on the plant’s growth stage and environment. Coco is a hydroponic medium. Meaning soilless. I work my way up from seedling every 3-5 days. In veg 1-2 times per day. Peak veg/ transition/flower i move to 3-5 a day. I run coco exclusively and have for years on thousands of plants, in every stage. Watering frequency is dependent on pot size, perlite ratio, and ability to control environment and salt content in the coco.

Avoid Overwatering… Although coco coir has good drainage, it can still become waterlogged if overwatered. Ensure adequate drainage in pots, and aim to keep the medium moist but not saturated. A mature plant prefers a coco moisture content of 90-100% saturation. This is why perlite is often added. I personally do a minimum of 30% but prefer 50-60%. Overwatering usually actually stems from a poor root zone, or overwhelming young plants.

The only time I treat coco like soil, even utilizing dry backs (big no no) is for regulating (limiting) growth on mother plants.

You are most welcome. Tag me anytime.

Thanks for all the info!
I have strictly coco atm due to budgeting. Definitely adding perlite next cycle. Always love hearing from people who have used for long term.

I currently water twice a day but am going to be moving it up to 3 times a day, every 4 hours of flowering, to see how they like that instead.

Here is a chart I put together for my watering station. I hope this benefits you. Idk what nutrients you use, but if it’s not jacks you can probably ignore the jacks dosing chart. Lol. The only part of this chart I don’t agree with is the EC ranges for topping feeding on a high frequency feed schedule. I never exceed 1000ppm/2.0ec oh and the trichome representation of maturity it’s not CBD with amber it’s CBN.

This is perfect for a grow guide im starting. It will have everything I, or someone watching my plants, will need to know in order to just jump in and be a pro once they retain the info. Going to get the silver ring and laminate and everything. Much appreciated!

I thankfully did educate myself before my first half of my harvest on the transition from thc to cbn thankfully. I wish there was a way people could share their product with other forum users

No problem! Here is one more bit of great information about understanding and controlling the medium. This is gold for anyone exploring a high frequency regiment.

My eyes were squinty. Lol. Thanks for the seperation.

Mine too. LOL

Good looking out on all the valuable info man.

No problem at all. It’s all stuff I had to learn going this direction. Information on the topic is hard to find. Never skip a feed, never do water only. Keep in mind certain aspects can change on a farmer to farmer basis. Mainly light availability and environment. It can change demands of plants. All stuff you have to learn based on your conditions.
