During the flushing process, using a TDS meter, what’s the proper PPM range that will tell me if my plants are flushed? Less than 100 ppm or less than 50 ppm?
Either sounds flushed to me
What’s the tds reading of the water you’re using to flush? It would be silly to expect runoff much lower than that. Even getting relatively close to that I would consider successful.
When I had problems with my first grow, I was directed by my mentor to get the ppms under 500. My plants started anywhere from 4000 to 7500 ppms before the flush. A significant amount of water was required to get under 500.
So is it better to work them down before the flush or do it at once?
this is kinda confusing, not your fault at all.!!
to flush your plants used to mean doing it all at once to remedy problems (like dad had) or to flush the extra salts out, (i need to flush my mommas with some clearex, its been a while, lol)
now everyone is ‘‘flushing’’ their plants at the ‘end’ of flower,
idk why, to me it is better to stay on track thru-out flower…
the only time i think they need a “flush” in flower is if it goes into all amber trich’s,
at that point the plant has stopped growing and starts diminishing and uses no nutes.!
i think u r asking about the latter…???
to do this just water normally with water and keep checking run-off,
when they reach 1.0 EC (500 ‘TDS/PPM’) start feeding again with 1/4 - 1/2 strength bloom fert’s,
no booster, just regular 1-6-4 or a 5-15-15 or 5-15-10 at 0.8 - 1.0 EC.!
I gotta agree with you re : flushing
