I use GH when I decide to check pH which is very rare.

Thanks for replying. What is GH?

General Hydroponics, but it’s still great for soil grows. I grow in soil and use the GH product.

Thanks midwesrguy and everyone that responded.
It’s GH PH UP.

Thanks MidwestGuy. This is some important to me. I’m indoor 4x4 tent well vented, FF Happy Frog soil, MH/HPS 600W. Distilled water through grow all fine. Then I switched to collected rain water, I checked the PH initially, and started to use, suddenly with in a few days, I noticed what looked like a magnesium diffency. But ended up (after PH retest) being acidic (5.4) water. Lesson learned. But I really need the info and detail u provided. Thanks MidwestGuy.

Earth Juice makes an organic pH up if u wanna go that way. But if its not a deciding factor, im on board with the rest, u cant beat the bang for buck of GH ph up

Essentially a ‘dry’ version. Crystals that you mix into the solution. Potassium Bicarbonate.

Rain water ph can vary as well. I used rain water for quite a while. I assumed it would be slightly acidic (not 5.4 acidic though) and it was actually right at 7.0.

Its also very VERY low ppm (usually). Whenever I mix feed solutions in rainwater, the pH BOTTOMS OUT. Like high 4’s

Again thanks to all. PurpnGold74 I got the info and buy some quick. Beardless you had a similar lesson learned, there is so much more to growing good bug than most heads are aware of. Then again it can really simple if all the environmental issues are resolved. Or u can turn good seed into ditch weed more or less. I have a lot to learn and gutting some great and timely response. I feel like this IS a true community of like minded people with a common cause. Bla… blah…

Anyway thanks to everyone…I mean my community.

I grow organic, I use apple cider vinegar to lower ph and baking soda to raise ph

U can use bicarbonate soda

Silica is a great ph up that is beneficial to your plants and doesn’t raise ppms

Thanks to all that replied. Apple Cider is easy. Sodium carbonate and bicarbonate I question the sodium and its affect on the plants. The silica I have read many beneficial results. All good advice I will experiment with each technique :grinning:
Thanks
