What is your light?

Right now it’s a 100watt easy bright but have a 600watt philzon on the way as well as a 4x4x5 tent with 4 inch exhaust

Is your seed an auto or a photo? Being that it’s already in a 5gallon I would assume it’s an auto? Ps I hope you have some drainage holes in that bucket.

Looks like you have some sort of LED bulb in there can you link it for us?

Here is what you want to read, but you need to ensure you have a the right light once your out of the seedling stage. And that one bulb won’t cut it I’m fairly sure… Even though I don’t know what it is.

Cancel your order return your philzon… They are not worth the money

Where did you by the light? Can you return? Many new growers get burple lights that are sub-par in flowering. You may consider purchasing from Horticultural liighting Group. A 2x 288V1 set up will be adequate for a 3x3 space for ~$200.

Send the light back and get a 315w cmh. You can get one for a little under $200us off Amazon now. It’s a little small to flower a 4x4 but that philzon would have trouble flowering a 2x2

Wicked nailed it here, Horticulture lighting group is going to be your best bang for your buck and they produce LED’s that can truly grow. Anything else your wasting your money. Good LED’s cost otherwise got with HPS or MH.
In short don’t buy any led grow light off amazon… Their all junk.
Misleading advertising, fake reviews, save yourself alot of time, hassle and money. As most of us here learned the hard way

The 315W suggested by @hornhead would work but will generate quite a bit of heat and would not be as efficient as the HLG 2x288V1 solution 223W and brighter than the 315W. Many here can guide you to DIY build of the light.

OkI am able to diy the lighting now I have a 100 w lowes natural plant light will that bee gud enough till I can get what is need to ungraded and better my grow tent as I’m new to the whole thing and I don’t know if it a hybrid auto or fem since it is a bag seed

Probably a photo. 50/50 Male female

Well just use this first one as a test run, then once you have everything dialed in you can worry about getting good quality genetics from a seed bank or a clone you can source.

What you would need to order is:

  • 2 x 288V1 boards with heat sinks $66 from Horticultural Lighting Group (3500K)
  • 1x HLG-240H-C2100A from onlineMeanwell $57
  • a scrap power cord (a computer power cord will be perfect)
  • aluminum L bracket from HomeDepot/Lowe’s
  • various bolts and screws to bolt the L bracket together and screw the boards into your frame.

All of this will require a saws all and a drill to cut and assemble.

@Nicky what driver did HLG send with the 3 board setup you have?

@WickedAle It’s a 320xl kit.

  • 3x QB288 V2 Boards made by Samsung with 301B LED
  • 1x Slate 2 Triple Predrilled 891mm Heatsink
  • Meanwell HLG-320H LED Driver. 93.5% Driver Efficiency. Boards should be wired in series with the driver for maximum output
  • 6FT Nema 5-15P 16/3 SJTW NA Power Cord or equivalent for standard 120VAC with cable connector
  • 2ft solid core Wire, 2x Wago Connectors for DC wiring
  • Hanger Clips

They blocked the second number…is it the C1750A or 2100?

C1750A driver, tbh I had to watch the vidoe to check my lights are out right now they run 8:30pm to 8:30am

288v2 should be able to run 3 boards on hlg-320h-c2100a. The forward voltage on v2 boards is lower than v1 288. I guess hlg still sending lower current even with new boards.

I wanted to know if HLG were driving the 3 board V2 kits with 1750 or 2100. You can drive 2 boards (V1 or V2) with 240H, but need to step up to 320H for 3 because of the needed forward voltage. See I have learned something from you.

Onlinemeanwell doesn’t have the HLG240H-C1750A in stock though. SO I recommended the HLG240H-C2100A above for 2 boards.
