so. a fellow medical user i recently met irl helped me out and i aint trying to be ungrateful but third time smoking his stuff third time i have massive headache about 10 mins after smoking . already tossed the rest earlier as i mean 3 for 3 i know its that but what causes the herb to do that ?

Well… back in the Dark Ages, narco agents would spray cannabis crops with paraquat, and that weed would give you headaches (or worse).

Is it smoother when you smoked it? How did it taste? Cuz that can help you tell. He might not have flushed it well enough at the end of his grow.
I’ve read that some strains may cause headaches for some people. I’ve never had a headache from any strain I’ve tried.

it hit fairly smooth a lil rough with bongrips tho and as far as smell it smelt id almost say . well really im not sure how to describe it but definately strong as soon as i broke a nug open i was like whoa. and ill mention it when we run into each other again never really taken numbers or anything but bump into each other cpl times a month
Like zee said it could be a number of things. If it smelled strong it sounds like he cured right, which could have affected it. But then you say it hit a little rough in a bong, which also sounds like the cure. But the flush can also be causing it. But I’d say maybe he needs to cure it a little different. Maybe he isn’t burping enough at first. Because its sounding like that to me. But, I’m not a pro and I haven’t smoked it, seen the weed, smelled it, so I really am just trying to troubleshoot some ideas to help you. Mentioning it to him will help, maybe. He could just say I dont get one and leave it alone, or want some ideas. Idk.
@Foeshamer I agree with all they above it could be a # of things to do with how the bud was grow/cured or could just be how you react to certain strains. I’ve personally never gotten a headache from smoking. Smoking bud actually helps me with migraine and nausea. Best of luck to you!
I’ve gotten headaches from poorly flushed Bud in the past.

I smoked some bad wax and it fcked up my brain chemistry and turned me off weed for years I only just got back into it this summer I’d say chemicals and just plain bad junk weed will do it whenever I smoked good quality loud I’d never get a headache

Most likely it wasn’t fully flushed, which then would also make it taste more chemical like. But I’m thinking it was the cure. Probably didn’t burp it enough. Making fungus or something grow in it that you dont notice or makes it look more crystal covered and that’s causing the headaches. But that’s just my guess. Really hard to actually find out unless your the one growing it or smoking it. If you have a jewelers loop try inspecting it. Maybe it’s not cleaned up enough either?
