Hey guys
I’ve recently been wondering why the rate and quality of my collection has been so much lower than usual and upon closer inspection I discovered these little nasties on the underside of the leaves on most of the plants.
I have continually sprayed once a month for black aphids, which I first had some issues with but am unsure if these are just the lava and eggs from the aphids which I seem to have killed off.
You try using a spinosad based product or?
You have a microscope to zoom in on them? my eyes are old and bad, they looks like nasty little things tho
Scope or magnifying glass?
Looks like aphids from all the pics I see on the net. Captain Jack’s dead bug
Better picture hopefully!
I think they are aphids myself, but I would have expected to kill them all including the eggs and larvae with the rose spray for aphids I used last time.
Although I will admit that I have been a little careful with the amount of spray I use.
Maybe I need to literally drown the bastards in it?
There’s no visible affect on the plants from use so far.
Think I will shut down the lights and ventilation for 24 hours or so and fill the tent with fine mist, then gently mist with the hose outside to attempt to wash off any remaining threats?
I just don’t want to f#@k up the thriving plants with poison!
Cheers Ken
If u have aphids you need to get yourself some lady beetles that way they can eat the aphids u can apparently buy them in the USA thats one way to fix the problem with out chemicals
Cjdb is safe to use in flower that’s why it is recommended more than anything else. There r others out there that do work but also leave funky smells and tastes on the final product which u wanna avoid. Captain Jack’s dead bug is a safe route to go without harm. Get the concentrate version not the ready to use stuff this way u can double down on them from the start and evict them suckers
Cheers guys, I’ll try to find cjdb locally in Aussie land.
I have had a better look and WOW…
They are everywhere in the tent, so I need to act ASAP
I’m in the Aphids camp base on general shape, Pear.
Lots of products available, same feeling on Spinosad that @Mark0427 stated in flower and taste carryover, bud wash.
@Lacewing Can you help idenitfy?
I’m with @Pet_de_Chien those are aphids !!
Aphids no more!!!
I took all them out and sprayed with the last of my rose spray , cleaned the tent and turned off the fans and blasted the lights on for a few hours until the temperature was over 45 degrees Celsius for a good duration.
To come out and check for flying pests, and found them all dead on the floor.
Once everything was back in, I then surface sprayed around the outside of the tent and the rest of the garage. (Obviously while the lights and ventilation system was off! Also aired the place out overnight)
