Just curious….
Aside from the Strain of the Year awards in some sites and blow up new discoveries, what strains does ILGM sell consistently well? I know they must keep an eye on what sells and what sits. Anyone out there have an idea where to find this information?
Wonder if @Olaf.ILGM could help with your inquiry.
I’d guess the ones they always have deals on. Grandaddy Purple, White Widow, Super Skunk, Girlscout Cookies.
I bet GDP is definitely in the list
Could anyone explain the huge increase in " runtz" strains. These almost all look the same and taste the same. At this point it’s like bacon to me. Just because you put the word bacon after the word turkey does not make it bacon.
Between now and when I first joined the forum, I think the most popular strains I’ve seen grown and discussed would be…
Top 3 mentions I’ve noticed…
GG4
GDP
Durban Poison
Other honorable mentions…
Super Silver Haze
White Widow
GSCE
Runtz
Wedding Cake
I’ve grown 3 of these strains from ILGM (GDP, GSCE, SSH)
Best structure… SSH (also best taste and aroma)
Best stone… GSCE. Fuuuuureakin floored my wife and me.
GDP was my first photo grow and I had a couple hiccups, but had nice sticky buds that smelled of rotten fruit and rubber.
I definitely would check with @Olaf.ILGM on what are the most popular strains.
Seeds with deals aren’t always the popular sellers, they need help selling them, so they advertise them. It’s the way most companies promote their products, but I don’t know of ILGM is the same or not.
Man I just got some apple fritter from here and then here about GSCE delivering the goods and now I have buyers remorse as I have seen several posts on the autos not popping.
Ayyye @Pothead64 don’t sleep on fritter, the pheno we found was Even used it in a breeding project
I have not tried the auto in apple fritter but photo grows excellent.
Oh man, no way, my exp with ILGM has all been great. @Low absolutely smashed the Apple fritter. I grew a variation of but it wasn’t ILGM. Matter of fact, it should have been mentioned, there’s been a good few of them here in the forum
Thanks @Borderryan22
Agree with @Ed43758 I do photos only, I’ll play with an auto rarely just for something to do. But IMO for autos to perform well, you really have to be dialed in. Too much of an ask for me when handling multiples that get treated all the same. I don’t like guessing whether or not a plant is going to keep up with the rest, or being taken off guard with unexpected flowering. Photos within reason you can dictate the size, and even more important the stages.
I also would have liked to get that pheno in photo but I have plans for an outdoor grow. Flowering in my zone 6 can go late into October and the weather is too iffy for a photo. My 3 highest DLI months are June July and August and I planned to start 6 in the tent and then move them outside like I do for matoes.
My favorite is Sour Diesel…
Great long lasting stone!!
@TransplantedFarmGirl Here’s the most recent list of our most popular strains I could find:
- Granddaddy Purple Autoflower Seeds
- White Widow Autoflower Seeds
- Granddaddy Purple Feminized Seeds
- White Widow Feminized Seeds
- Girl Scout Cookies Extreme Autoflower Seeds
- Godfather OG Feminized Seeds
- Super Skunk Feminized Seeds
- Girl Scout Cookies Extreme Feminized Seeds
- GG4 Feminized Seeds
- Runtz Feminized Seeds
@Pothead64 If you get any duds (which you shouldnt expect) just hit me up, I can replace those for you, of course. Though, I expect for you to get some fire results with those!
I am 7 for 7 on ILGM White widow photo. The only reason I only have 2 plants flowering on my second grow is entirely me.
Pretty much what I listed above, plus a few extras.
Yep! That was a good call!
Also @Borderryan22 thanks for chiming in also. I think the most popular strains on the forum vs. those that sell consistently well will vary slightly.
Thanks @Olaf.ILGM for finding out! I love seeing the variety. I have grown three of those, all great stones. wonder how/if the list will change with new strains being created and debuted. Next few years are gonna be interesting
