Pardon my almost retired brain (less than a month away). What kind of nutrients are you using?

It is a good practice after you start feeding to water to about a 20% run off. Let your pots dry out 2 or 3 days Might even take 4 depending on the stage of the plant, An environment whatever it takes. An repeat. My setup usually takes about 3 days for the pots to dry out. Good luck :v:

The finger is one way, I usually did the pot lift method and watered when the pot was light (not heavy). I also did the moisture meter - check 4 locations around the pot and wait for all 4 to read dry when I have my plants in a screen and can’t really lift them, the ones in the back anyway.

I’m a lift the pot guy. But really you don’t have to actually lift them off the floor or riser. Generally you can just hold each side of pot and give a little tug and get a fairly good idea if they need water. When I first started growing I used a moisture probe, they are sufficient for checking moisture levels.

I go by the weight of the pot. Sounds like it’d be nice if you could hire a helper To lift the pots.

We are facing 5 days below freezing here. I dropped off chocolate chip cookies with the boys next door hoping they would continue shoveling our sidewalk :grinning:

My back is wiped out today also. Stairs are hard on me anymore.

Mrs cant lift her back is kaupat just like mine too many years office work

Try a super hot bath and soak with some epsom salt , hot :fire: hot will help !

I’m having some fairly painful back issues myself, I know the more sit around, the pain I have.

I find if I at least do housework or walk the dog I feel much better. Just sometimes really miss the me that was 10 years ago running marathons and playing soccer.
