It’s been a while since I did an update but here is my first grow. My ladies are in their 3rd week of flower. Any feedback on how they’re looking?

Looking happy and healthy!

These are Gelato Sunrise Photoperiod seeds from ILGM. They are in FFOF soil and have been grown using top dressed organics. PPFD levels are around 650-800 throughout the canopy. Runoff ppm and ph from my last feeding was 900 ppm and 6.8 ph

@Dman1969 I water with purified water so very low ppm.

@Weedmandude I’m asking what is the actual PPM’s goin in. Right now it should be 900-1000 ppm goin in if you’re below that you can up it. I push mine till I see a touch of tip burn then back off. That way I know Im giving them all they want. I flipped a week ago and I go 1200 ppm that’s high but the plants are taking it with no issues. I hope I’m making sense and not confusing you. :v::call_me_hand:

I think he’s using water-only…charged soil and top dressing.

@Spudgunner Thank you Brother now I know the rest of the story. As Paul Harvey would say :sunglasses::v::love_you_gesture:

Yes thank you sorry I was MIA. I top dressed with organics. This is my first grow and I made the mistake of using organic and synthetic nutrients so I’ve ran into a few issues with burn as a result. Since then, I have flushed my plants per recommendation of a member on a different forum and brought all 3 plants to around 950 ppm and 6.8 ph. I fed the ladies yesterday and fed synthetic nutrients as needed to bring runoff ph and ppm to where it needs to be. This morning the ladies are very green and happy. I have a gnat infestation at the moment that I’m working on handling hence the yellow sticky traps. I sprayed the top of the soil with a mosquito larvae killer that works great for gnats as well which was a recommendation from BudBrother. Here are updated pictures for reference

@Weedmandude hello growmie! I have a gnat problem as well. I use sticky traps also & mosquito bits & used a herbicidal spray during veg only! Still have a problem!! It’s the miracle grow potting mix. What do you use? Be careful what you use during flowering!!

My understanding is the sticky traps will get only about 15-20% of the adult gnats and the larvaecide kills the larvae in the soil. The adults only live up to 7 or so days so once the larvae are dead it’s just a matter of time before the adults die as well. I try to air on the side of less larvaecide to ensure the plant isn’t affected. I have only been spraying the larvaecide on top of the medium and I make sure it dries before I feed. I want to avoid the larvaecide seeping down into the root zone and potentially infecting the plant. A long time grower on here didn’t mention anything about only using during veg but I’ve always been careful regardless. My growing medium is Fox Farma Ocean Forest soil and I have some top dressed organics and I supplement with synthetic nutes during feeding to maintain the ppm and ph numbers I want. I know that was a lot but I hope it helped!

@Weedmandude I knew all of that but not just spraying the surface. Id be worried about the feeder roots there. I normally use ffof @ after a treatment or two they are pretty much gone. It’s getting expensive so I’ll be going back to it lol. Thanks for your input!! :v::love_you_gesture:

Mosquito bits or the concentrate formula will not hurt the root zone. It will not hurt flowering plants. You dont need to let it dryout. Soak it in thats where the larvae are. They eat the roots that’s how they damage the plants. The gnats are harmless. The larve eat roots.

Anyone know if you’re supposed to flush using wick type bases and salt based nutrients

You don’t need to flush anything unless you’re trying to correct an issue.
