Weird mutation - Flat stem

I have seen several weird mutations including a slightly flat stem. That one is quite extreme…I like it.

Yes, I have had flat stems before. I think that it is called polploid but not sure. Others will chime in. happy growing

Agree it is a polyploid. I’ve grown out 2 of them. They produce flat stems that look a little like a ribbon cable. It will grow out fine. Will definitely grow strange though. Keep an eye on it. You will be cutting off a lot of foliage as it matures. Stems will grow out from random places on the stalk.

Here’s what one looks like when the stem is cut. This one is shaped like a stalk of celery.

The mom always grew 3 fan leaves from the start. This clone has like 6 or more tops but they are bunched up together. it’s starting to spread out now

Should be fine, I had flat stems at the end of a grow once and everything turned out just fine, happy growing.

I’ve had one on my AK47 auto. Weird growth but still produces buds. Just a PITA to trim

she still here. It’s almost like it’s trying to snap out the mutation. Gonna hit it with a defoliation today.
