Week 8 Flowering starts (Day 50 from flip). First Grow/Scrog. Pics!

Very Excited! It is barely possible that I could harvest in a week…but…thoughts?
Water needs continue exactly the same. Still feeding nutes and added 1/2 tsp unsulphured molasses per gallon starting last week. Larger colas are 2-2.5 inches thick, according to my finger calipers. Still not seeing much calyx formation, but since first grow, I don’t know what I am looking at. Strains: Photo Borderliner and Northern Lights.

Beautiful big girl you have. Still white pistils that need to recede into buds. Give it more time to get those girls plump

Thank you! I put DE on them at least once a week.

I don’t see a problem other than the cat hair on that last bud picture.

Ok. I went (out of abundance of caution) and doubled checked with trich scope. Honestly to me it looks like curling pistils and a LOTTA trichs. Sigh. Will keep an eye on it. Damned girls are STICKY. And that is so def a noob mistake, pet hairs. I guess I am gonna have to get a lab coat or something.

Wow that is a lot of cat hair. Do you filter the tent’s intake? Or is it just from opening tent?

probably from opening tent, hair on front of shirt, bending over plants, and sticky plants. I just had no idea. And you are not the first to notice. :frowning:

A peroxide rinse at harvest will remove a lot of that hair.

I mix about 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide in 5 gallons of water. I gently but thoroughly rinse the buds in the peroxide water and then in clear water. Shake water off and hang for drying.

dang merlin I think I can follow that! Many Thanks! Any other reasons for doing that rinse e.g. possible bugs?
