Week 2 of Flowering getting crowded

All in all your plants look great! I just think they want to eat something. When did you transplant into those bags.

March 5 they went into the 5 g pots, So because I watered yesterday, should I wait until next watering to feed about 3 days or should I give something now, I also thought I understood ppm and how to figure but not so sure now, wish I had someone in the neighborhood to sit down and explain it to me in layman terms, just went from feeling in kind of control to out of control, I was ready to flush the pots.lol

@Crusher Your little one seems to be dealing with a similar situation. Is that a clone?

Little one is gone, decided to get thru this 1st grow before I start another. Stressing enough as it is. lol

The community is a great place and lots of help here. The FF soil medium is great and your 1st feeding seems to be at the right time. You definitely should be watering or feeding to about 20% run off from the bottom of the pot, this will help expel the unused salts from the previous feedings that could lock out nutrient uptake. Soil likes a wet and dry cycle as in feed then 2-3 days later water depending on pot size for the frequency. Run off is critical especially using the FF trio nutrients and I suggest mixing at 1/4-1/2 strength. Personally I shoot for 900-1000 in veg and 1000-1100 in flower and a PH of 6.5 :love_you_gesture:

What am I doing wrong when I figure ppm s

I have been getting very little run off, 50 to 60 oz of water each plant at watering and a couple oz run off just enough to check.

I watered yesterday, should I wait to feed until the next watering

What kind of TDS pen do you have? It should allow you to toggle through PPMS or EC but 1 or the other is ok. Use the 500 scale, water to 20% run off. Let it drain out the bottom for a few seconds then catch a sample and test the PPMs and PH. I have a Blue Lab TDS pen and an Apera 20 PH pen. PH is the most critical part of watering or feeding because of the soil and nutrient range of 6.5-6.9. Outside the range and some micro/macro nutrients are not taken in by the roots :love_you_gesture:

I have the Apera ec60 does ph ppm con & solids, when I turn it on it reads 1.5r before going to ph, is that correct.

That doesn’t seem right. Have you calibrated the pen? TDS should start at 0 for EC or PPMS

I beleive TDS does start at 0, I have calibrated the pen twice to be sure, when I say 1.5r that is what shows up on the screen when 1st turned on. I think it is a setting but not sure

Should I water again with nutes and get the run off I need, its still wet from yesterday watering, or should I give it a day or 2.

I would wait until it’s in the dry cycle and water only at 6.5 and test your run off. Missing 1 feeding won’t do any harm :love_you_gesture:

Should I be concerned with the yellowing towards the top of the plant,

This could be a few things. A very important reason to water or feed to run off so you know the PPMS and PH. Typically when I see the whole plant in a lime green color I think nitrogen deficiency. Without knowing what’s below the surface as in your run off PPMs and PH, it’s very difficult to diagnose. What nutrient line are you using?

Fox farm, grow big a few times 1/2 strength, and last thursday, big water with all 3 fox farm at 1/2 strength 1st time all 3, and the numbers from the soil slurry are above and that was before I watered, they might be dry enough to water tomorrow.

Keep feeding the Grow Big on feed days. They need less nitrogen and more potassium and phosphorus during flower. Do you have the trio?

Yes all three, I even picked up the sledgehammer in case in was needed.

Unfortunately the sledgehammer will be needed. 1 of a few reasons I switched nutrient makers. I haven’t had 1 related issue since then. Keep feeding grow big and tiger bloom at every feeding, grow big for the nitrogen and Tiger for the extra potassium needed during flower.
