Week 12, Runtnz Autos, Am I Ready?

IGLM Runtz, 12 weeks today. Lower buds are over 70% red. Top bud still has some white. Not capable of magnifying beyond what I have. Chop or Wait? Thanks.

I feel like they could go another week from what could tell zoomed in.

One thing you’ll discover about seed vendor timelines is that they tend to favor the absolute minimum time in which the bud “could be” harvested. So week 12 is great but it really doesn’t mean a whole lot in terms of harvest. Also, every garden is different…an autoflower that ripens in 12 weeks in my garden may take 14 in yours etc…even the same strain. Even reg/fem photoperiod clones from the exact same mother will express their genetics differently in different environments.

To truly judge ripeness you need to get something to better and more accurately inspect the trichomes.

This is subjective, but i harvest when most all trichomes are super cloudy/milky white and about 10% are amber. Make sure you check the bracts (aka calyx’s) and not just the sugar leaves as the trichomes on the sugar leaves always mature more quickly.

Note that you will always see some immature clear trichomes too because the plant keeps producing new trichomes.

I agree with @ChittyChittyBangin, at least a couple more weeks…but the pix are tuff to zoom in on.

Looks like promising smoke!

I usually wait until the trycombs are all cloudy some people like to wait until they’re 70% cloudy and 30% amber but it comes in three stages clear (not ready) cloudy (Happy Happy Happy) cloudy amber mix (couch lock) it can take up to 14 weeks. In my case anyway

Are you looking at the trichomes or the orange pistols. Isee more weeks left. A lot of sparkly trichomes in the picture. I don’t go for amber my self. Just a really dark cloudy trichome. A couple good signs are the orange pistols will curl up. and when my plants are getting close to the end. They start eating less. I see these have a flowering time up to 10 weeks too. So that could mean a 16 week plant here. I would let her go as long as you can. You will be happy you did  Do you have any pictures of her 2 weeks ago. Just curios to if it has all ready started to swell yet
