Ways to make money? (Besides selling)

Hello all, I haven’t had the time or money to start my grow operation up for a while now, but I can’t help but stare at my beautiful but inactive operation without wondering if there’s at least some way to make some extra cash with my grow equipment since I can’t personally do it for myself. I’ve thought about just renting the equipment out to one of my friends before I remembered I don’t really have friends, let alone ones who would want to go through the process of growing marijuana (I love my few friends but they’re some of the laziest people I’ve met in my life).

I really don’t want to sell weed lol. It always ends bad because someone ends up running their mouth and acting stupid, and it’s a wasted effort anyways with more and more dispensaries popping up. Despite this I still have this itch in the back of my mind, like there’s a totally obvious answer that I’m just not seeing. Of course, I could just be high, but I figured I would consult the experts and see what they think.

I don’t have the most glorious or technological set up, but it’s definitely a potent combo that can grow some beautiful plants if used right. This is a list of all that I have available (that I can at least remember off the top of my head)

  • x2 SF1000s
  • 3 7 gallon fabric planters, filled and ready with FFOF
  • FF liquid trio
  • pH and PPM meters (cheaper meter with pH balancing chemicals included for calibration)
  • humidifier, dehumidifier, temp/humidity gauge
  • small rotating fans
  • plenty of seeds stocked away

The only major thing I’m missing is a tent with proper filtration, but I’ve made do without one.
If anyone has any heinous ideas that they’d be willing to share, I would be more than gracious. Times are tight nowadays, and any extra side income will help exponentially. Thanks for any advice y’all.

Hello we meet again growmie. Depends how big your base is, not much market here. Could you do other flowers, for occasions/ celebration and such. Florist John. Of course wouldnt need 7 gal then so youd be acquiring more small pots. Microgreens are easy to eat maybe hard to sell. Or a rare fruit or veg seedling you can to bring to transplant-age. I dunno, just throwin ideas ya cuz I know how it is. Homemade is always an option. Happy holiday and be well John

Dont really have any ideas for you. Sounds like you have most everything, and seeds! Curious why you took it out of action. Life gets busy, understandable. Glad to see you posting again.
I would plant seeds if I had them. I have been broke lately and started cutting clones to keep going til I can get more seeds.
Best of luck bro! Hopefully you can figure something out.

Dont know your area, we have tons of swap meets monthly. I know spring is coming, having the right seedling plants in solo cups ready for outdoor planting could be a good investment.

Covid drove up prices on tomato plants and other veggies for example. A package of seeds are cheap. Its not just veggies, flowers, potted plants are gold.

Last year, our tiny space made room for squash and tomatoes to be ready to plant early spring. We harvested squash a month early.

Since then, i have clones numerous vines that cost 15.oo a pop at the nursery . Its unlimited.

Plant spring veggies. The pta plant sale I participate in at my kids elementary school makes around 5,000$ every spring selling flowers starts and veggie starts. On a couple bags of promix and recycled pots. Seeds are the biggest expense.

Also, one of my grafting mentors sells grafted trees every year from his residential lot and claims to average 175- 200k since he retired selling grafted fruit whips.

Been a while since I made this, and I’ve decided to use my old grow supplies to grow Monstera Deliciosa. Cuttings of the plants can sell for a pretty penny, and they’re very low care. Thank you to everyone for your advice, it really did help me come up with a solution to my problem, and I’m not just saying that. This is definitely one of the best communities I’ve been a part of, words can’t describe how excited I am to have my grow op back up and running and to be getting A5 10 star advice from all of you absolute geniuses.
