I wear my Costa sunglasses. The lights will give you cataracts just like the sun will.
Here we are a few days after that heavy trimming:
This morning I switched the light cycle to 12h on, 12h off. Welcome to flower!
Felicitations,
It was another watering day, and the five plants got a total of five gallons; standard for mature plants in my experience. But these being bigger than my usual I might sneak them an extra gallon next time.
I did some more trimming; here we are before and after. Much simpler and more casual job than the last, but it’s been a busy day:
And of course there’s the little loner, still looking pretty enough:
I haven’t looked closely but no obvious signs of flowering have shown themselves in either tent. For now we keep up the bulk!
Six gallons went down smooth! For now that’s as far as I’d like to push it, and they look great so there’s no reason to rock the boat.
Right now my only worry is how close to the lights we’re getting in the back. This isn’t my first grow with the Diablo 750 but it will probably be the first time I have to raise it; not looking forward to that. But it’s a little thing, and the big things are a dream.

It’s another six-gallon day. Only two of those had added nutes; there’s only so much they need.
I did a little bit of trimming on the Sidecar, since this morning she had that Christmas tree look; not ideal for my designs! But she looks fine otherwise, and hopefully after clearing out a lot of the lower branches that were overgrown and doomed anyway things will look even better. An attempt has been made to force a few of the more pliable branches into horizontal growth, but at this point most of them are pretty stubborn.
We look to be in flower!
As for the bigguns:
Hard to believe it’s for real!
I moved the blurple light, which is rigged alongside the UV and had been stationed at the center right floor, to the center front floor instead. It couldn’t hurt and might help, bolstering the light from this new angle.
I unplug the power strip linked to the UV and blurple whenever I’m in the tent; the supplemental lights are linked thusly for that convenient reason, that’s all.
Cant wait to see the buds growmie ![]()

Today they drank up seven gallons of water, and there are no signs of runoff. Might even give eight a spin.
Thank you guys for your enthusiasm and support!
Yesterday they got six gallons; the seventh was delivered this morning since time didn’t allow it yesterday.
Everyone’s in flower now, incuding the Sidecar; I did a little trimming after taking these, especially of the ugly lower leaves:
Now the problem is “how do I raise the big light?”; I thankfully live with a man who can help me, but I’m nervous since when I rigged the light I never thought I’d have to move it. Any advice?
Accidents happen, be prepared. They happen to me anyway so I take my plants out and unplug my light and anything outta the way and it becomes a chore but gets a clean-up at the same time. But it looks like you got them ratchet thingys so maybe less bother than I have
Remove those hangers that came with the light. Use 1 ratchet hanger per side, and that should allow you to raise the light to about 3-4” from tent top.
