Watering issue or nutrient issue

Hi guys attached are some pics of my four plants. I am using a prenutrient rich soil i got from my local grow store. The guys said use purified water which I have been. I water every 3 days. Lately the soil is still damp on top meaning its probably still wet inside the pot. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

Yes, you’r soil looks wet. Let it dry out completely before watering again, or you could risk root rot.

That’s what I was thinking. Thanks! So if I just let my babies dry out a little they should be good?

btw welcome to the ILGM forum. we are a kind cooperative fun place to make friends, learn to grow, and helps others when you are ready. we grow top shelf weed and many of us actually have virtual toke sessions. you wont meet a better group of more skilled, fun, and kind people anywhere.

yes and look into learning more about watering strategy. for now just let her dry out as @raustin recommended. Shes my grow mentor and who i look to first 90% of the time, unless its a light question then its @dbrn32 or @Aolelon

if u are in fabric pots, which i think u are, then take it easy on heavy watering until the root system is developed. after the roots have fill out (youll see them poking out the bottom and possibly the side) then you can water much more.

Okay. No the pots are plastic with drip trays with holes on the bottom. I definitely will look into the watering strategy. Thanks for the advice. I would hate to lose them after all this time. Lol

youll be fine, plastic pots require a little different strategy. idk ive never used them

As @basementstealth said, wait for those plants to fill the pots with roots before watering to runoff. As the plant grows you’ll be able to water more.

And this one is Overwatering

They are very similar so be careful in how you treat. Start with ( OVERWATERING ) So only you know what your plant suffer from. It’s either one of these if you say it’s not from overwatering than you’ll know

the main difference i see and u may also be able to see from the above pics is the nitrogen excess makes “the claw” leaves while overwater and underwater also make flat droppy leaves

@Jdupree did u mention no drain holes in ur pots?? U have to have holes at bottom to allow water to run out and oxygen to help roots. If no holes, drill some in bottom and i even put holes on side of pot around bottom couple inches to help with air and water run out

No i have drain holes. They are 7 gal. Ill let them dry out a bit and go from there. So it is a pre nutrient rich soil. So if it turns out to be a nitrogen issue how do i combat this?

I will put some in the sides tho dad got me a drill for my bday lol thats a good idea

Puttin a small fan facing bottom of pots will help dry out faster too. As for nitrogen, they do look healthy but like the more experienced people above mentioned let it dry first. Ur in good hands here
