Wanting to get rid of hps

As the header says I want an led that will flower a 44 . I bought their small model for my 22 and I was over impressed but it’s the only led I’ve used. I’ve seen the 6 bar mars hydro but also this and the model up is only £100 more . The mars are twice the price but are they twice as good

I would suggest HLG there are a few options for a 4x4 , scorpion, scorpion Diablo, would be my suggestion but there are other hlg lights that will fit also ,you really want something with Samsung LM 301 h preferably or 301 b diodes whatever brand you go with :v:

I second the HLG lights. I switched from cmh to led this grow, and bought an hlg 350r for a 2x4 tent. It’s doing a hell of a job.

I have the Marshydro FC-E6500 in my 4x4 tent…I am on the second grow with this light and I like it…

Hey @Damo have you considered something with advanced light spectrum?
Current data says the spectrums of UV, deep red, far red and infrared will enhance your grow substantially.
I’ve been adding these spectrums based on research I’ve read on the inter web.

The Phlizon lights are less expensive because of the LED being used. Both the 281 and 561 chips are older less efficient diodes. Samsung 301H and 301B are there current go to diode. Some Mars Hydro strip lights use Samsung 301B chips while others use BridgeLux chips. Again, the Samsung chips will be more costly than BridgeLux
Another thing to consider is the lights coverage. The larger the area the larger the light needs to be and also its power draw requirements. A 450w light, at least in my mind, is pretty much the minimum you would want in a 4x4.

Maybe check a few of the top rated (based on purchase cost & operating cost) of some of these lights

If your in the UK have a look at MIGRO lights.

I have a MarsHydro fc3000, I like it for my 3x3. I have read others use it for a 4x4 but its ask8ng al9t of this light imo. As stated above…definatly want those samsung lm301B/H diodes. Anything else is gonna be less.

No matter what, before you buy, check in with @dbrn32. Dbrn is the resident light guru here on the boards. Always helpful and more knowledge on the subject then a whole sack of brains.

Thank you so much.
I know it’s wrong but I’m just out of work and wanted a £300ish.
I really want the mars hydro FC 4800 I think 6 or 8 bars. Looks a beauty

It would cost £185 in shipping fees. Otherwise it’s mint

In Europe i typically recommend diyleduk or migro
