Vivosun 1000 watt MH/HPS light on Amazon $189

Nice room :open_mouth:

Which LED did you buy that replaces a 1000 watt HPS? I’m assuming it’s probably at least double the price.

Hey brother, if you don’t mind me asking, what do you consider a good harvest for one plant?
:+1:t2::v::sunglasses:

Undoubtedly. With rate bulb output drops, bulb replacement, and operating cost will make up the difference long before your led fixture needs replaced.

The heating and cooling of daily firing of hps bulbs kills them quickly. If you’re buying horticulture tuned bulbs and changing them every grow or every other grow will add up fast. Most of the higher end led fixtures will still be at 80% of original flux at 50,000 hours.

As I’m only doing homegrow and not license, I would consider a good harvest 4 oz./plant since that’s excatly what I would need.

Sure, but there’s still that $1,000+ pricetag vs. $189.

@HappyHydroGrower has good point too. My last harvest was 2 plants was just over 190 grams. 2 plants in 36"x20" with 168 watt led fixture. The light cost me about $300 or so to build, but perfect for my small tent.

Imo there is nothing wrong with hps. But cost of ownership over the course of 5+ years will be more expensive than a lot of led fixtures.

In a 4x4 you could do the HLG350r . I bought mine for $424 …
keep in mind you’re gonna have to buy new bulbs every so often with HPs so there is cost there.
Don’t get me wrong though you wanna go with HPS then go for it they both produce good results. It’s all personal preference IMO.

Oh lord brother, in all seriousness, learning to grow would be a first option instead of worry about lights and the cost of lights.

The best advise I can give, figure out what you want and how your gonna get there. Leave the rest up to the folks here that are professionals.

What if you could get about 14 oz. to a pound from one plant, under one light? LED for less than $250ish?

Each plants 13 oz. Each under ChilLed light.

The scrogs are 28” x 36”… I think, I’d have to go back and look. But you can do better and cheaper like @dbrn32 explained.

I have one spider farmer sf4000, I just got a few weeks ago and one flexstar from China which I think is making Vivosuns LED lights. HPS ballasts and hoods aren’t expensive. I’ve picked up a few from OfferUp for $20 each.

Oh Lordy, I’ve grown over a dozen times my brother, the topic was not about maximum yield. I get it, you can grow high levels of weight per plant, congrats. As I stated, I’m not a licensed business, this is for personal legal levels of weight.

Also, learn how to spell “advice” next time you state, “leave it up to the professionals”.

I thought this was a forum for the non-professionals, my bad.

You do you, lmfao. :money_mouth_face:

Unnecessary ROI, this is not a dispensary, as I stated three times. Thanks :upside_down_face:

I like both HPS and LED both can perform great

I never need to respond after @dbrn32 , he pretty much says what I’m thinking, (and clearer too) :laughing:

It’s sorta this guy’s MO. Don’t take it personal.

Lol :eyes::eyes::eyes:

Interesting how I muted your responses, yet you reply on every post I make the first week I join. I’d appreciate if you’d stop commenting on my posts.

Up and running with no heat issues. No reason to spend $1200+ for a 4’x4’ growspace in a room for personal use. Most LED sellers are scammers. :roll_eyes: :roll_eyes: :roll_eyes:

Mini fridge intercooler?
