VIRGINIA outdoor strain

Oh yeah. I was going to go with Trainwreck for my outdoor, next growing season.

Hey Trx, I am in VA as well. Yeehaw. Perhaps we can connect to chat more locally.

great grow so far. what soil did you go ? is that spot full sun?

I just used a mix of organic garden soil and miracle grow. That spot gets full sun from about noon till 6. I bring them in under lights right now because it’s been a little cool overnight this past week or so. Last night the low was 53.

Are the little shoots sticking out from the new leaves going to be branches?

How are outdoor growers faring with the cooler temps overnight in VA? I’m putting my plants outdoors during the day but bringing them in at night.

I’ll be doing greenhouse grow this year, so hopefully I won’t have to worry about night Temp, just have to worry about heat during the day. Have tomatoes growing in there right now, with venting I have going, they are doing great and we had some heat lately (not as bad as out west)…

Next year I’ll have greenhouse in different location on property, give it more morning sun and bit of a break late afternoons

@Woodbutcher78 I’m tagging @Deez for you as he’s a killer soil grower and as I am New to this forum, he has helped me out tremendously on my outdoor grow. I just wanted to try and help out so that’s why I’m here. Good luck and happy growing!

Getting ready for the transplant to outdoors on Thursday. I’m growing on my deck because a deer has eaten all my hostas and I’m not taking any chances with these babies. I’ve made some chicken wire cages to put around each pot to deter the squirrels digging up the dirt. So many things to consider!

Make sure you get them hardened off before putting them out there full time. That was a mistake I made by not doing so And my plants took a beating! I learned that this is very important when moving them outside!

I take them outdoors for full sun everyday and they seem to be doing well. Indoor lights on by 7 every morning. Outdoors by 11, full sun from noon until 6. Back inside under lights. Lights out at 10 pm. Humidifier overnight. Rinse and repeat.

Transplanted into 5 gallon bags this morning. I was trying to wait until Thursday but the girls were getting too tall. They need to veg out. It was mid-90s today but they seemed ok with the transplant.
