Hi i started germinating my northern lights seed 7 days ago and all seems to be going well so far. I moved to a larger pot yesterday morning. Its currently on my windowsill but I’m wondering if I need a grow light and tent? Is it possible to grow on a windowsill successfully? I don’t have much of a budget for a grow light and tent is there any good, cheap alternatives? Any advise is greatly appreciated.
Looks too wet to me. Overwatering is a top cause of seedling casualties, so be really careful with that. Unfortunately window sill growing doesn’t suit Cannabis very well at all. It needs strong light, and the glass in the window filters out necessary UV. A tent is very helpful in controlling the environment, but not completely necessary.

@Cap_Ron has you covered. A tent isn’t necessary, but helps. Good lighting is one of the most important factors for a cannabis grow.

Thankyou for your reply, this picture was from yesterday morning I will take one in a minute it seems to have dried out a little bit. Its been on window sill with the window open all day. Could you recommend a good light for cheap? I am only planning on growing 1 - 2 plants at a time.

The plant in the window won’t cut it. UVA and UVB rays are generally blocked out by a window. Better off sitting it outside till you can get a decent light.
Plants this small only need 5 to 10 ml of water per feeding. That soil still looks saturated.
What is the actual wattage that it pulls from the wall? That is what you need to be concerned about.
Before you go buying a light, are you steadfast on growing that plant indoors?
