I grew up trout, bream and bass fishing. Lived in Alaska for a few years and worked as a trout and salmon guide at a flyout lodge. Loved it!!! Now - I pretty much anchor up and fish for bream and channel cats. I also do a lot of surf fishing down in NC. Actually heading down at the end of the month for a week of surf fishing!

Awesome! I’ve caught a very few walleye in my life but they are one of the best fresh water fish I’ve ever eaten!!!

Some good eh, I only tried walleye upon visiting the prairies, but popular there. Nice to hear about fishing. Here it’s brookies in the woods and mackerel from my boat, bass and salmon are around but I dont keep. Trout or salmon and a plate of strong greens, oh man sprouts or whatever…

Good eats man! I’ll eat fish every which way! I can the small bream that swallow hooks and make fish patties or a fish dip with their meat.

@Jaysittinback I go up to western Maine chasing grouse some years. The trout season is always closed when I go up, the streams are gorgeous!!! I would love to head up there in the spring to catch trout.

I do a lot of catfishing here in Oklahoma. Then the crappie season hits and I am all over them!!!

A brook within meters of my outdoor grow has small trout. Pan trout we call them. And on the way in I flush a few partridge. I think theyre grouse, same thing. Maine is a lot like NB.
Gonna try radish, ten at a time a week or two apart planting ten more. Until run out of room or containers. Figure I can cover them so I don’t have problems like I do outside, soil always drying and radish becoming woody and kinda crappy.

Hey @sandune did your snowpeas take off yet, mine are getting bushy not taller. How will the cukes and zuchs grow, vines right? Would you grow vertically or sprawling, depending on your space…
I had a tie. I uppotted one into 1 gal coco. And the other into 3 gal soil. 4 others are still in solos
The tomato in coco is doing some weird leaf curling other than that not much difference between the 2 that were uppotted.
I should put the coco into 3 gal to keep it fair

cool 2022 garden was my first tomatoes and to make sure some turned out I planted seven, didn’t need to but you’re gonna have a lot of tomatos! Are they determinate do ya know, or will you continually pick and eat off them while they grow… I assume indeterminate would be better for indoors
My peas are doing great! I put a 36" tomato cage in 2 three gal. bags before I added potting soil. Just this morning all of the plants have attached themselves to the cages. I have 6 or 8 plants in each bag.

And my cukes and zucchini are both bush type that will grow out and then hang over the edges of 5 gal. cloth bags. 1 cuke is going pretty good, the other is slow. They will spread no more than 30" or so on the floor. My lettuce, spinach and mesclun is going crazy. I have Early Boy bush, yellow hanging basket and red hanging basket tomatoes that have sprouted and looking good. I have a Hungarian Sweet pepper and a Pretty & Sweet miniature Bell pepper above the soil.

I believe they are determinate growth. I have a vibe type of indeterminate that i plan to start later and move outdoors when full grown in the spring
