I have feminized bubblegum growing indoors. My girls are almost 7 weeks old. We lost power for around 40 hours so obviously no light. When power returned I put them on light cycle of 12/12 thinking they may have been “tricked” into thinking its flowering time. Did the 40 hours off hurt my plants? They show no signs of any damage. Still look great.
Cannabis can handle extended dark periods without a problem so long as it doesn’t happen too often. Your plant didn’t know it happened.
It takes about a week for a plant to begin showing signs of flowering if you have remained on that 12/12 schedule.
As @MidwestGuy said, too much/unexpected dark is not really a problem. The opposite is the problem, unexpected light during dark cycle causes confusion/stress.
Thank you! Response much appreciated.
Thanks! Power outage was due to a storm. Staying on 12/12. I appreciate your response.
This is such a great information hub I just like reading and seeing what’s going on and can it be helpful for my girls or share a thought or experience. Side note not much of a reader till I became a Growmie lol
I agree. I have found many answers just surfing through the grow bible and this forum. Great group of members willing to share there knowledge and insights.
