Same ocean at least.
Aint too far apart really.
Well were back yall.
Gals are still swelling .
Starting on week twelve of flower.
Picked up another plant watchmen.
Those are great lookin Buds, nice & full..I know they gotta be smellin good.
Oooohh yeah. They done had my wife fussing for about a month now.
For my notes, I reduced the lights to 40% keeping the dli around 20 and ppfd around 600, also reduced the lighting schedule by 1 hr. Making it a 11/13 cycle and it will be reduce down to 10/14 next week. Trying to mimic mother nature.
Is there anyway you can lower temps too? I had issues with pistols continuing. I lowered the temps about 15 ish degrees and it help tremendously.
PS they are looking awesome
Thank you Dforce, yeah I’ve had my intake off for the past 10 days or so trying not to catch some pollen from another project I got cooking in behind another tarp. That shares my lung room at the moment. Me and 1 of my half baked ideals, lol. Anyways its been staying between 70 and 80° pulling about 3 gallons of water a day thru my dehumidifer. To keep the humidity around 50% or so. Only downside to below ground basement growing for me anyways, this section of my basement is not finished or conditioned and the humidity stays around 70% during the summer heat. They kickass in the late fall, winter, into spring but they can be tricky this time of year, I usually dont like to flower during this time and try to plan around it because of that. But hopefully cutting these lights down over halfway will help lower her on down a bit. That and turning the intake back on.
I cant believe how well these have done. Guess I’ll be growing this strain for awhile. To be honest I was looking forward to growing out those White truffles the Fem ones that is, not that I’m complaining in the least, free weed is always sweet. but I was wanting to use her in this project to try and raise the thc levels a bit. But she’s still a heavy hitter on her own. I mean GG#4 and California Dream are top shelf flower themselves. Maybe something even better will come along next time. Divine timing and everything.
Well came home to another day of rh being in the 60’s, been like 4 days now its been like this maybe even longer as I was gone for a week and don’t actually know when it started? My dehumidifer is set on continuous and pulling probable 3 to 4 gallons of water a day outta the air and still cant get it down below 65%, i guess where its rained for past week or 10 days and for those of you who have grown a few yall know what that means when your on week 13 and your buds are 3 inches or so big around. So… I chopped 'em, mostly milky anyways and I aint chancing catching rot on them over some white pistols.
Last pics b4 chop.
Smart move Brother, I’m chopping all the outside girls except the 6 that just went out. 3 of 9 have some bud rot already and will be composted. Going to save others while I can!
Yes Sir, after you do it for awhile you just see it if they get that look. Don’t know how to describe it really but if you ever see it you’ll instantly know. The slight silky looking almost say webbing. I was seeing it yesterday on top of every big bud I opened up to look down in. If you don’t catch it before it goes past that then most times your hit, and loose alot of bud. if I would have let it go even 2 or 3 more days Im afraid it would have been too late.
Some weed alot better than no weed.
Veggies are looking great! That’s a awesome set up @VaHillbilly
@madhatter1. Thank you my friend. I mixed peat, coco coir, coco husks and cow manure compost then last year after harvesting the 4 beds of corn I chopped up all the corn stalks and cobs and used it for mulch over the winter and added a cup of 10-10-10 this spring and a handful of epsom salt to each bed. I love walking around in it first thing in the morning. Peaceful
I was lookin back towards the end of April on your journal and you already have plants in the ground. Is the weather OK for planting at that time up there?.
I can’t wait to get out of here so I can grow a garden again. It’s not good at all for growing down here, to damn hot.
Here’s a pic of my first garden from the late 70’s . The topsoil was a foot and a half thick. The cows had been fertilizing it for many years. I was planting pot there before I starting growing veggies. I had some 13 footers in that area. Never fertilized them. Just water from the creek right next to it. Oh well it’ll happen. In my mind I’m already there.
I can’t remember if I sent this pic to you or not, I don’t think I did . I have that CMS syndrome, Can’t Remember Shit
Thats outstanding my friend. . Id love to be that good of a gardener
I cut two tonight, very little grey cotton in one bud, others were clean. A bit early for me but at least it’s milky.
Well got her all hanging. I use a digital handheld fishing scale and weighed the rack after she was full came in little over 9 lbs. I use a moisture meter to watch their progress untill they get down to around 14% or so then like to go by weight for the last little bit. Im guessing probably little over a pound and half at 12% dry, then Ill loose that half maybe little more in wood when I buck her down to individual nugs. Not to bad for 1 and a half plants. Still got the other 2 ½ hanging solid, Im outta racks so gonna just have to check her good everyday as she drys to keep an eye out for rot, it loves to grow around 60% humidity, especially if you get above about 72°F, this room runs between 70 to 72 so im always cautious as I dry.
