Just received my UVB Light for my grow tent from California Lights. I have 3 Acapulco Gold Fems in a 2 X 4 Tent that is setup with a SCROG net. Just coming through the net, so was about ready to put into flower. The UVB light is to be used the last couple of weeks of flower, before Harvest. Supposed to make the Trichomes and THC go through the roof. They even quoted an actual scientific study and this was proven to be true. I don’t hear anybody else talking about UVB at the end of flower cycle. I will try it. If this turns out to be true, may become part of my regular routine. Anybody else have any UVB luck?
It’s been a frequent topic over the forum. Try using the search function. I typed uvb and stopped counting at 20+ threads on the topic. Happy growing.
Cool, thanks.
I’ve been using the California Lightworks UVB fixtures for several years. I think they help, but not by any hugely noticeable amount. I run them for the last 2 and a half to 3 weeks. I start with 15 minutes a day in the middle of lights on cycle, and increase by 15 minutes every day or two until I reach 2 hours.
The pic is an email from California Lightworks back when I got the first one. They told me 6 hours was safe, but I’ve never gone more than 2 hours. It definitely does cause some leaf crisping. That’s not a huge concern in the last couple of weeks of flower, but that’s why I haven’t gone past 2 hours.
