Two Gold Leaf and Two GG Auto...Welcome to Amateur Hour

Hello Hello, come one come on all and let you take you down a journey of my second ever grow!
Technically a third since I have now one outdoor and one indoor under my belt which i did at the same time.

I am going to be growing 2 gold leaf fem and 2 GG auto

I am using a 4x4 tent and id like to get the photos as big as possible, so its possible that at on point the autos may ne banished to the outdoors to make room. If they all fit, splendid, if not, no big deal.

The purpose of this grow is to learn proper trimming techniques, and do grow my first photos inside. I am partially debating on doing a scrog and I will be topping plants for the first time. I know the gold leafs require considerable maintenance indoors so will be learning lots of pruning techniques along the way.

I am working with a 4x4x6 tent
a True power 260Watt Quantum board (which I’m particularly excited to try out) I may add a 600 watt Viparspectra (135 watt true power) if I don’t feel my spectrums being met
6 inch exhaust
one 6 inch oscillating fan, one 12 inch cooling fan
20 liter pots for the gold leaf
13 liter airpots for the GG autos (first time using these)
Organic homemade soil
Either Biobizz grow and bloom or a guano and seaweed mix (this is yet to be decided and used minimal nutes on last grow and would like to keep that the same.
Rainwater

This will be my first journal and I am really hoping to hone my skills with this grow, There has been so many great people on this forum and I would be honored if any of you would follow along and help me improv my craft .

so here we begin it is Dec 24 and I have dropped the seeds in water last night, all four have sprouted tails and have gone into their starter soil today. I will post the first pictures when they break the soil and we will go from there.

I will aim to update this journal once a week, however If i am having problems or issues it will certainly be more frequently.

I hope to learn with you all along the way as this amateur progresses his skills!

My advice is to not use home made soil until you have a full understanding of what goes into it. I might do it but I’ve been growing for a long time and i’d still want advice from a soil expert like @garrigan62.

Update. The two gold leaf have popped and are working on their new leaves. The Gga unfortunately had a problem with thrips somehow already so I am regerminating those. Here’s the gold leaf at 2 days from soil. Do you think they are stretching a bit? New light to don’t want to fry the plants I only have it about 30 percent capacity on the dimmer switch.

Yes she is stretching a little, you may want to support her and turn the light up a little. Soil looks wet too, when was the last time you watered?

I had just given her a spritz before I took the photo. I thought so too. I’ve turned the light up to 50 percent and they look a little happier today, they are 36 inches from light.

I’m wondering if I should turn them up even higher

You can bring the lights a little closer to the plants, a couple of inches at a time

Update. My dog went all crazy inside yesterday and knocked her fat butt into the tent knocking over the two gold leafs. Completely out of soil. Was bad, I’ve put them back in and stood them up so now just waiting to see if they’ll
Make it. I’m off to a crack in start.

I dropped my most recent seedlings while in the solo cups. Like dropped them all on the floor, coco everywhere…stood them all up, put the coco back in the cups and they did fine. May have slowed them down a couple of days but very little

They look ok today I’m a little surprised considering the beating they took at only four days old. Yea bloody soil everywhere in the tent. She’s lucky she’s so damn cute or I may have gone into a rage. The culprit.

Ahhh she’s to cute to get upset with
