Hey fellow growers, been continuing my first OD grow (1st grow ever actually) for almost 2 months now, bringing the girls indoors at night, with no added artificial light , just day and night they sit in potting mix, perlite and coir and I just been spraying them b4 bed for watering - My question is, one of the girls had a leaf twist in , go brown and mayb blistery or puffy, it also has a discolouration to it. do any of my fellow growers know wats going on here?
Sometimes it can be genes but since that has a burn leads me to believe it’s something else going on Ph imbalance in the soil can cause things like this… are you spraying the soil or the plant?
I spray both the soil and plant ~ ?
That’s fine as long as it’s around sundown when you do it… water droplet burns tend to only be a real issue With artificial lights but I have heard that during the hotter parts of the day the afternoon outside it can be an issue as well… other than that Do you have any type of PH buffer in the soil or do you ph balance the water
Ph could definitely be an issue , I don’t have a ph reader , so I’m growing blindly - it’s the first item on my forever growing list of important tools - also using spring water from the supermarkets
…and yes always water them in the late evening
Yeah that’s probably it it can either be a big issue or not depending on the soil your using but if or when you start using nutes you gotta have PH pinned down or your in for some real issues just a heads up! Everybody has to start somewhere and they look pretty good!
Thanks @Teffygreenthumb , will have to get on top it
