I started at least at 36" maybe a little more for my seedlings
And lowered when I noticed the first signs of streaching
Also I started with one light fixture added more as needed total 4 units now @bob31

@Countryboyjvd1971 seen this one? I was looking at the big one, but the smaller one is probably more suited to my size grow. These are hydro setups. Any issue with planting the clones in soil after starting them in hydro or are you gonna keep them hydro?

yes sir,i have been using t5 for seedlings and when i went to led i was at 30-36’’ till they grew into the lights… today will be a sad day because the step kids are going to have to go…i’ve tried and tried to keep them but i could be using that led on my autos…

I figured I can use for cloning I took a couple clones and put them in it now I’m just waiting to see if they talk I mist the leaves every day and will till o see roots 
yeah I was thinking cloning but why not try it with some bag seed or whatever?
In the end, it’s just too small, I think anyway. Also, going from the AG to soil will create some serious shock.

I’ve never had an issue germinating my seeds with paper towel method? So once I spoke to Matt 420
He made the point if they are going to be in soil start them in soil and I had to agree with him lol
Now if your going to try a dwc set up I think it’s a great way to start them and you can move them into a bigger net pot when needed 
@Countryboyjvd1971 @Matthew420 yeah, I can see both sides of that. I think it might really mess up an auto starting it from seed to soil in one of those.

@Hogmaster myself and several others are liking the Meizhi 450 w reflector lights they are only just over a hundred bucks have veg and bloom switches . I use two of those and one of the king plus 1000 w that were mentioned above.

I tried it so I have some experience with it. I won’t be using it, as much as I wanted it to be awesome. Maybe 1 plant with lots of LST and additional lighting. But, at that point, why bother? There are better ways to do it.
I had great luck using it for herbs, lettuce, flowers, etc. Low growing plants.
