Nodes (crotch) is where the colas form so that’s a good thing
That’s where mine always comes from @DoneDeal!
I’m so behind on this!

Man, imma start callin em crotch colas…
Crotch colas and stem nuggets that makes harvesting sound so great right @ChittyChittyBangin out of likes
Yup they look good. Outside is a diff monster then indoors. Usually what’s good for outside is a death sentence in a tent. Defoliation especially.
How are they looking now? Should be getting THICC
Haha I love this. Adding to my repertoire
Hi,
I do have some up to date pics, before and after shots. I did not cut any leaves through the year except the few that were shown earlier. I shot them on the 16th of Sept. to show the size and amount of leaf, then clipped them to a preharvest state and shot them again to show amount of bud that formed. There is a big difference in how leafy they were, the one was pretty bare all year, the other looked like Cousin Itt! You couldn’t see the bud for the leaf.
BT=Before Trim & AT=After Trim
The first three are the same plant, as are the last three.
My conclusion is pretty clear, I am very happy with the result and will not be clipping leaves without a good reason.
I had some bud rot on each, the bare plant had it here and there without a clear pattern but the bushy “Blue” only got it on the very top two colas where there were no leaves, I think it must have been dew as we had no real rain before harvest. Thinking about it the leaves on the large bushy Blue look to do a pretty good job at shedding rain and dew, where the “Yellow” plant leaves were sparse and the rot was scattered. There was not much in total but it is a bit of a bitch it was the best of the best but the rest is very sticky with frosty leaves.
Thanks everyone, I do feel like it was a very good year and I learned an important lesson going forward.

The more they develop the funnier Crotch Colas get.
One Other thing that seems important. There was a week between clipping and cutting and they did start growing leaf. The small leaves in the colas started to grow a lot larger as soon as I cut the larger ones. I was torn between letting the buds mature and cutting right away while watching the leaves grow. That is energy that is being used to regrow the leaf it already had so in the future I would clip and cut immediately.
