This is picture of the plant right now. It’s a granddaddy purple plant two of them but they haven’t turned purple which I thought they are supposed to. Most of the trichomes are milky but some are still clear. And as you see in the photos I’d say about 60to 70percent of the hairs have curled in and turned orange

Not necessarily going to turn purple. Ive grown out a few of these and only 1 had a purple hue. Its all about the phenos.. sorta like kids. Same parents always a different trait.. you could go another week or two , drop your temps during lights out and see if you can pull some colors and allow those clear trichomes to milky on up.. those white hairs will amber up and start to recede also

What kind of buzz do you want. Up up and away or good night.
Fast and not lasting now.
Up up and away give it a week maybe 2. Good night 2 or 3 maybe 4 weeks
I mean there are still a lot of clear trichomes and white hairs.
Turn light time down to 8 or 10 hours a day to keep it from foxtailing and rippen up. I give that credit to @Growdoc

You got a bunch of good information to consider regarding the trichs but remember to also consider the yield aspect of your grow. With that many white hairs, by waiting you’ll also pick up a bit of weight as the hairs turn brown/orange and get swallowed up by that growing buddage (bracts, pistils…) we all love. I could kick myself for how much yield I missed out on for my first grows by impatience. Looking good though!

So what’s that mean?

It’s when the buds start growing abnormal tips or spires. Heat and too close to the light source is the common cause, genetically predisposition is the other cause. They’re not a bad thing and trimmed off most often. Reducing the lighting intensity and if you’re nearing harvest cutting back the intensity and lighting hours help. I’ve smoked more than my fair share of fox tails :love_you_gesture:

Yeah I just switched the lights to 15 hours of dark now I’m doing 9 hours of lights on. Since it’s nearing the end of the grow

Me, too. Not all were foxes; there were a few one-baggers and two-baggers, to be honest, but never a coyote.
