I’m growing white widow autos. Day 79. Seeds say 75-85 days. My buds sure look like they are mature. Very little white hairs, but no trichomes have turned brown. I have good microscope. Second question: do you guys trim the yellow leaves? Some look like they are changing almost purple. Advice greatly appreciated.

Awesome grow. Trichomes all cloudy and 10-15% amber is my preference. Chop when your ready. Really can’t go by what seed companies suggest. Plants vary so much you have to go by Trichomes. Congratulations on the grow very nice

Some Amber is a popular choice but not required. Some like their weed harvested with all cloudy and no amber. Some like more amber to get couched locked. Also, some plants can be stubborn about showing amber. I will sometimes dim the light a bit at the end to mimic what happens in the fall as the sun moves south in the sky, but I cant say 100% that it will work. I can say it wont harm anything and might be worth a try.

You’ll find that some autos don’t give amber. I would suggest doing more research into this so you don’t waste your time or potency waiting for something that may/may not happen.
