I am in the process of growing some Purple Kush and my question is this. Being for the fact Purple Kush is a short plant to begin with should I top the plants or just tie them over to the two nets I will have in the tent.

If it is an autoflower, do not top it. If it is a photo, I like to top it above the 5th node…I also wait until it is at least 6" tall. I’ve grown quite a few kush strains this way…nice busy plants
Respectfully disagree Grow Bro, I top all my autos. I grow and train them like the photo period plants I grow with no harm or stall in growth. In my experience over defoliating sets them back aside from improper nutrient levels and poor environmental conditions 
Thanks guys. Mine are photos so I guess I will Wait until they get to the seventh node and cut them just above the fifth. This is my first time topping my plants. I will be interested to see how it works out. Once again thanks.

I top all of my autos, too. I yield 5-5.5oz per plant on average too. I top around day 14-15 depending on the size of the plant. I top after the 3rd node.
