Topping a plant. Never done it

No real need to set up scrog frames and nets, just keep tying branches down as they grow to maximise the area of the plant exposed to direct sunlight. You may be very surprised how big it might get.

im already suprised ha. Things going to be massive i bet

just what do i tie down to where?

thanks mountain man.

Leave a little bit more stem next time. Besides that, looks good. This is why I say leave some extra

Had to zip tie her back together.

This is one of my ladies, 19 days old. Topped 2 days ago. First full feed yesterday, looks like they’re taking it well

Oh shit. Should i cut more off?

Look at the other top

I could cut a node below.

And the ladies look great!!!

Nah, you’re good. After I top, I usually only end up with 6-8 main branch’s. My last grow, topped once, only 6 main branch’s and pulled over a lb

Thats awesome.

Thanks for your insight- im not going to top again and going to start LST

Also need to identify gender with these; could be males

I take it they’re bag seed or regular seeds. Fem seeds are the way to grow

bag seeds, exactly right

Normally after a month or so, you should know what you got

Tie them down to anything you can, tent pegs, stakes in the ground ,cinder blocks . If you can get those new main branches horizontal all the lower branches will shoot up .

so basically im going to tie down the lower fan leafs and supercrop the top branches.

and this will create more bud sites and let more sunlight into the plant?

only tie branches down not leaves

does it make sense for me to supercrop the main stem after i topped? or should i wait for the new tops to come in?

maybe start supercropping the 3rd node? hows that sound?
