Top of one bud dry and crispy

Anyone know what’s wrong with this bud. One of the others in the same plant has some yellow brownish dry leaves towards the top too but the rest look fine

Could it be light burn? Heat from your lights, that is.

I don’t think so. It is probably the farthest from the light being in the outside edge of the tent but that is what it looks and feels like. My temp gauge is close to this bud and it stays between 70 and 80. It’s opposite cola had some leaf problems also but the rest of the plant looks good

I’d check the bud by that funky leaf on the left.

Open it up and check close to the stem.
Looking for white Or light gray webby looking fuzz.
A light tug on the leaf too. It will pop right out if something there.

Bud rot.

@Jordo. VERY CAREFULLY.
Cut it off below the rot and don’t touch any other part of the plant.
This stuff spreads like wildfire.
Make sure you’ve got enough air flow and get humidity below 35-40 % if you can.
Definitely think about a bud wash at harvest.
From the looks of things you’re not too far away from that. :v:
And too. A very careful investigation of any other plants in there would be a good idea. :+1::v:

thanks for the reply ya I cut off a little more than what I saw to be safe. ill have to do some research on what caused it. my humidity has been between 30 and 40% and I have 3 and in my tent but have to go back to work now. hoping it looks better when I get home lol

You ever done a bud wash? I’ve watched some videos on it but still would be scared to throw my buds in a tub of water lol

I haven’t yet but @Myfriendis410 swears by it.
And he ought to know. :wink::joy:
But there’s lots of folks do it and swear they’ll never stop after trying it.

I bud wash every harvest. No issues. I use 10% H202(3% solution) and 90% RO water. Dunk and swirl the bud around for 1-3 minutes, then dunk and swirl in straight RO water for 1-3 minutes. Hang with fan blowing directly on the buds for 1-2 hours.

Thats how I do it at least.
