I’m in week 7 of flower. The buds are massive and more than 50% of the trichomes are amber. It feels like it’s time to harvest but I don’t want to go to early. Should I wait longer? The site I got the seeds from said it takes 10-12 weeks to flower but started after 6 weeks. They’ve been growing strong. Any advice would be helpful, thanks! The plant on the right didn’t get as big but the trichomes are the same as the left plant.

If you got 50% amber on the buds not the sugar leafs, then shes been ready imho.
That is amber on the bud bits not the sugar leafs right?

The 50+% was on the sugar leaves. I just checked the bud bits and there is fewer amber but a LOT of cloudy.

Bud is gonna be the place to focus, since most of the sugar leaves come off during the trim.

Kinda depends what sorta high you like.
All cloudy with little amber is actually when thc is the highest and will produce more mental high. Uplifting, creative, that sorta thing.
Amber is degraded thc and will produce more of a put you in the couch zoned out and even sleepy kinda high…
I kinda like a little bit on the heavy amber side myself but I will harvest different plants at different ratios of amber just so I got options…

I got 8 oz from the 2 plants(dry). My I rolled a couple J’s for my trimming people and let them try it since I don’t smoke and they loved it! Said it hit very smooth and got them pretty baked. I’m very happy with it all.

Congrats on the harvest. Do you remember the breeder for the CP seeds. I only use Growerschoice seeds for mine. They have all been in the 10 week flower range and make monster plants. It would be great to be able to do a faster one here and there. I never reach amber. These really swell up in the last 2 weeks for me.
I think you will like the smoke if you haven’t had it before. @bonnie1 grows a lot of the CP also

@Not2SureYet - I’m taking pics of my CP today I have time later…. I only use Growers for my CP and they are pretty big so I’m happy getting my CP from there. I just drive thru my bank and get a money order. They came fast. I’ve got 2 more germinating. I don’t know of anywhere else just Growers & ILGM for all my seeds. I’ll get back to you later. Great grow, great harvest, you always grow the best!

My CP seeds came from GC. I had one turn out male of the 3 I ordered.

@Imacursed I would contact GC and let them know. @bonnie1 Coffee shop seeds is a great seed bank. And super fast shipping. I just got another order the other day. Under 2 weeks from when they shipped. They have quality seeds and great prices too If the cc and other option don’t show. They should any day now. I was told it would be about a week to get them both back when I ordered.
@Not2SureYet - thanks for the info. I’m gonna get more CP from GC soon. They are very good seeds. My girls are big and getting some color now, I’ll take pics in a few days when more color. I’ve been growing for 5 yrs with ILGM just had an anniversary. I’ll check out the seed bank you suggested. Maybe I’ll top one plant to check it out. I’ve got 3 more CP one seedling and 2 little bigger. I’ve been trying to grow 4 plants and you’re growing double that! I would grow more if I had the room and craftsmanship to build inside the room I use. I’ll figure something out one of these days. I’ll be in touch have a great memorial day weekend!

Honestly though. I may see if I can swing it so I can breed some of them. I am sure he wouldn’t mind helping me with any questions I would have. He is a pretty good dude.
I am going to try another Blue Caramel auto next grow. It was a nice plant and a giant too
You also have a great weekend. A lot of mine will be spent in the grow room. Cleaning and re organizing. I have room for 2 of the autos in the Big tent now. If I ever get an update done. I will be sure to tag you. If I don’t do one soon. There will be no plants left to show

Is this strain something I could pick up from a seed bank? I’m working on a Purple strain, I ordered quite a few feminized auto’s. The Red White and Black Bubble Gum that @Oldguy recently harvested and the Guyana Gum are part of that project.
You know, that I would help, in any way I could.
My next feminized auto run, is pretty much planned but, the next one, I already intended to work some more on the Purple strains. I think going forward I’ll do one bud run and 2 seed runs, with the autos. I’ve got more shit to smoke than I ever will. Still got a quart jar of the Bubble Gum 00, which was my first plant , almost 3 years ago. I keep all of my stash in a dark closet or gun safe, in amber canning jars. That 00 Bubble gum, still gets me, right frigged up PDQ. I picked up a Blue Disel and several other different things.
All I would have to do is grow 2 of the Critical Purple and reverse one. I may already have this strain in my library, I will check.

@repins12 I will send you a pm. I have a few of these I could send. The ones we use are from Growers choice. The others out there are not the same. Or don’t grow near the same as these do from what I have seen. It feels like this may be a good day for me. If so. I will look at the reality of me trying to do these. I need at least a 3x3 sized tent to do one. They are not little plants. I have a free 4x4 but no where to set it up right now

I would be happy to run them and reverse one but, It would be right after, this next run. Reversing autos is different than photo’s. You have to start spraying the autos after the third to fifth set of true leaves, not counting the cotties. Lots of people make the mistake of waiting until they start to flower, like you do for photo’s. I made this mistake myself, when I was just playing around. I have been successful with both CS (colloidal silver) and STS. I like the STS, myself. It seems a lot easier to, in my personal opinion.
