Thrip problem indoors

Sorry to hijack @Jaydawg6528 - is that what these uglies are? They just popped up on my plant today. :grimacing: I’m very anxious

Looks it too me…the black spots are there poop…that is the give away and the silverish spots is from where they are eating

@Poseidon1 sorta what I figured. They had a hell of a feast while I was at work - some ivory soap and water seems to have thwarted them at least while I wait around for Dead Bug to show up - I’m at a loss for neem oil. Going to have to poke around some local nurseries, my Home Depot and Lowe’s have nothing right now (although growing 12 plants just became legal at the end of June so maybe everyone is running into pests at the same time  )

Good luck brother and stay on it. I was convinced i wouldnt get bugs indoors. I could not have been more wrong. I think im on the right path as well…i got no signs at the moment but there can be more eggs/larva. Keep spraying lol

No joke - I was pest free but had to open a lower vent the night before so I could get better airflow. The filtration system was working wonders for keeping it nice and windy/cool/fresh but she just got too big for the bare basics to work. The mesh net is a great illusion but I suspect it let the big nasties in just fine. All the better early on like this for both of us- now we’ll be religious sprayers lol

Good luck keeping them thwarted!

was opposite for me locally. HD had the Capt Jacks brand neem oil (bonide actually i think), but were out of the (bonide) Capt jacks dead bug brew… i had ordered dead bug brew online and was SENT capt jacks neem oil so that was no bueno, lol. Dead bug brew will be CORRECTLY filled from that order via UPS tomorrow it shows so i’m ready Freddy for any more leaf chewers. Between the juvenile preying mantis and THE BIGGEST lady bug i’ve ever seen, they got rid of a LOT of the green colored flyers that were munching and some teensy tiny hardshelled something-or-anothers i saw crawling FAST on the bottoms of a couple leaves but i STILL NEEM’d the ever loving soaking onto them yesterday  Soon as the DEAD BUG gets here it will have been 2 days since and the following day i will hit them with that

These are spider mite webs

@Jaydawg6528 good to know. Assuming a dead bug and neem oil cocktail will handle those too?

I sort of figured it was dog hair (I’ve got a massive shedding heeler I can’t keep away from the plant) but I’d hate to be overlooking something that needs a diff treatment.

yes they are effective ion spider mites
