This is a male plant right?

This is a male right? I already pulled it, I just hope it wasn’t too late.

Yes, that’s a male. Did you see any powdery substance when you removed him?

100%, sorry Growmie :love_you_gesture:

I don’t think so and the balls were small. I guess i will know soon enough if my harvest is ruined.

That’s not just a male, that’s the Dwayne Rock Johnson of males.

I was wondering where the wife hid my balls…

But it starts to produce pollen when the sacks open right? So it might be fine.

Yes, you grow might be fine. When you pulled him, did you mist with water? That’s usually advised to “kill” the pollen.

Honestly, I’ve never seen that many balls in my life, dang!

Everything I’ve read says that pollen is produced before the sacs open. When they start to crack and open up, is when the pollen is actually the most viable. When collecting pollen, you can get it from unopened sacs as well, but it might not be fully mature.
That was also my experience from my single attempt at Silver Thiosulphate spraying for feminized seed production; that there’s pollen inside the sacs before they open.
It looks like a couple of them had started to open, but it’s anybody’s guess if they pollinated anything.

Of course the sound of rain on a tin roof when dumping a baggie on a cookie sheet isn’t good for anyone, but some of us would love to have a small sampling of seeds with our grows.

Anyone knows how soon can you tell if a female has been pollinated.

The white pistils will turn brown at the tips instead of down the whole length.
